At my office we're doing an international/multicultural holiday display and I mentioned we should do something for Yule. Well, growing up Christian I know very little about Yule except for what I've read in books, so... I was wondering if there are any Yule specific things that should be part of the display, or things I should know that you can't get out of a book. Basically, if you were going to tell the Christian populace abou the holiday, what would you include?
Thanks!!!

I would Include a Yule Log. Even though the "Christmas tree" was originally of Pagan Origin, the Yule Log sort of Fell by the wayside.
This is most commonly a pine log, decorated with greens and glass, similarly to a minature tree. It often has three holes drilled into the top, and Taper candles placed inside those holes. :)

Yuletide is a celebration of the birth of the Sun.
The lengething of days was an important time in early history Yule in the "midpoint" of winter and the begining of the lengething of days... so a sun symbol would be a start.
Ive seen a few images of Mother Goddess as pregnant with a sun symbol over her belly to show the renewal of the sun's life.
