So I thought that I should say HI:hi: I got my official Wench Guild pin last fall but had yet to sing up hear. I am looking forward to the coming season but would like to have more garb options than I currently have. ....and what is that you ask... a very long, very heavy reversible green/dark blue cotton dress with celtic trim that laces up the sides with a lightweight (thank the gods) white chemise underneath (see the avatar). I also have a green suede bodice that I purchased last year from The Potted Fox, and two very large cotton broadcloth skirts that I made (and need to *fix*) one is colored somewhere between plum and dark raspberry, the other is a faded black or charcoal grey. I purchased some fabulous embroidered fabric last year with the intentions of making an open front style dress with it but am not sure that that is the way to go. I should note here I am not a seamstress but I have a sewing machine and can *usually* figure out patterns  .
Any suggestions on what to wear, where to get it or how to make it would be very much welcomed and appreciated.
Thanks!
KaLea

Silly me mentioned where I got my bodice but not the dress which is from GreyCat Designs. (Did I mention the wool cloak I have from her too?)

Welcome!! :cheer:
As for the what to wear question, it sounds as if you have a good start. Keep stuff interchangable.
Toss the question into the "Garb Goodies" section and you should get more suggestions. :)

I do love it! I was going to send you pics of the dress after my handfasting but strangely non of them really came out. I wore the cloak you made me to the highland games here last fall and got *SO* many compliments, everyone kept asking where I got it in hopes that it was at the games somewhere so they could get one!

I think I'm cursed - you're at least the second bride who has had bad luck with pictures when wearing my garb. ;)
Oh, yay! I *love* doing cloaks, too - they always feel so rich - you get to use yummy wool and trims. ;)
Cheers!
