My G-d. Like it's going to MATTER in four days!

The only people hurt will be the bookstore owners and managers who'll have to face the kids-- and parents-- who preordered books that won't arrive. And those poor kids-- they're going to be screaming to high heaven.... Actually, so would I!

well that's just bizarre.

it's rotten, yes, but it's more bizarre that a children's book has gotten folk so obssesive that they'd stoop to this sort of behavior!

You think they knew what was in the truck, or was it a lucky guess?

I couldn't begin to guess, but the fact that after discovering the books they went to all the trouble of hauling them off...they had to have a pretty good idea. If they were after something else, they might have taken a case or two, but THOUSANDS??? You'd need another truck to cart them away, wouldn't you?

And what the hell would you do with them after that? I mean, if you wait for the furor to die down, the books are already in the shops, and who cares? Can't ship them outside the country, either, since Customs would find them.

Very Grinchy and silly. But I bet J.K. Rowling must be oddly flattered.

Probably not - since her money comes as a percentage of book sales. That many books is sure to make at least some kind of difference in her checks.

Who knows what the theives are planning to do with the books the stole, sell themon the web after the 21? Everything they got would be profit.

Hopefull the stores will be sent more books so the kids can have their harry potter.
