Sore on foot

My older son just told me that the cut on his foot he got months ago hasn't healed. Further more, it has increased in size. Sigh. I had him soak his foot in some salt water to help provide some relief. He said it hurt. After he was done soaking it, his foot and toes had swollen and was bright red. So much for providing some relief. He has a doctor appointment tomorrow morning to ge this dealt with. I am really concerned because it hasn't healed and the fact that my grandmother was a diabetic. I also had a discussion with my son about not telling me in a timely manner that it wasn't healing.

Cuts on feet, like on hands, don't always heal quickly. :ow: It all depends on where it is and how much he's walking and moving it around. The swelling and redness isn't a good sign, however, so I'm glad you can get him to the doctor so quickly. Hopefully he just needs some antibiotics, and not getting the wound opened and drained, although that will likely give some relief too. Kids think they're indestructible and if they ignore something it will go away. Good luck!
