Hello everyone! I was introduced to the Wench's Guild by miss Shiela Iserman from Regal Pewter at this year's Otakon in Baltimore. She told me all about the Pennsylvania Renn Faire, and I'll definately be paying a visit! I usually only go to the Maryland one, but I was so excited by the prospect of joining the Wench's Guild that I did so right away! I hope I make you all proud.

A bit of a background on me, I'm from Washington DC. My mom is from Spain, and my dad is a native indian from El Salvador. I first got into all of this sort of stuff when I found out that our family still has it's original coat of arms. We're from the house of Garrit (now Girones, on my mother's side), and my grandfather is Don Girones. That's why I named myself Doña Nina. Nina is actually the American nick-name I adopted because my real name can be a little hard to remember... but it's all good!

I'm so happy to be here. Thanks for having me.

Hi Nina, welcome. I live in Riverdale (near College Park) and work in DC. I usually make it to PARF at least once a year (and usually twice). I'm also shooting for CRF in NC this year as well. I'm looking forward to meeting you.

I know this may sound funny, but do you mean you have actually sent money off and are a Wench in Postage (WIP)? If so, you should end up as a member of Local 42. If you haven't already, you'll want to check out the Yahoo group, MDRF-Wenches.

If you look aorund in the Yahoo group, and if you're interested, there should be info regarding the Wench Welcome Wagon and the (not sure exactly what they ended up calling it) "Aunty Wench/New Wench" buddy program.

There might also be info in the Local 42 board here, but honestly, I"m not sure.
