Last weekend, our own Bux and Jules were given a challenge via rose tag from yours truly.

Since they are PIRATES, I challenged them to become BUTTON pirates! ::pirate::

I wanted to see how many people they could charm, beguile and sweetalk into giving them their clothing buttons. The most prized button, of course, is the rare and elusive TROUSER BUTTON.

I'm dang proud to say Jules came back to me with a DOZEN buttons of various sizes and colors -- and she even had a TROUSER BUTTON! :bananada:

So, now I'm looking around Faire for the guy who's pants are falling down.... I know I'll find him eventually!

Congrats to Jules, the most fearsome (and winsome) Button Pirate in the Shire! ::yay:: ::yay::

YES!! I was indeed bestowed this most fun Rose Tag challange.

And, alas, I must give due credit to Jules for collecting the most buttons. She (Scarlett L. Ditsea) is, of course, experienced with the loss of buttons from the trousers of MEN. However, her TASK should have been to find the blasted map that I hired her to FIND so that I (Maria Jacaranda Milanese aka Dragon Rose) may avenge my poor father's death!! My quest to find his killers was most delayed by her dally-ing with men and her *ahem* interest in their *buttons*.

But I digress....

I was able to obtain... a single TROUSER button. Let's just say this between us wenches, I'll take quality over quantity any day. The lone button was obtained from one FINE example of a tall...blonde...muscular...tanned...and handsome rogue. My wenchly ways prevailed..even convinced him that is tag that was so offensively sticking out of his t-shirt (yes the T-shirt that was hanging on the broad shoulders) needed to be placed back and tucked under his shirt collar. *winks* But.. my fellow wenches...he INSISTED that I slice off said unruely tag with a sharp and pointy knife (ok sissors). Huzzah!!

Much love,
Bux

Gasp!
Riggor or me weren't approached or nothing for buttons! Madame Librarian you are, of course, welcome to any part of our wardrobe you are in need.
Next time, let me know when you see me.
I'll show you some "craftiness"!

OK ok ok....

Tis I, your lovely trouser poppin button wench piratey person.... Scarlett dahhhhhhhhhhling, thats Scarlett.

Let me tell you ... popping them buttons off with your teeth is not as easy as those moving pictures make it look.

And Bux love, it isnt the size that matters dear... but the pursuit, and capture and of course the release.... OMG THE RELEASE! lol

** recomposses self**

I made a lovely Pin out of my trophy buttons, with of course the INFAMOUS trouser button on top ( hehe i like being on top of things).

Thanks for the tag Katie dahhling..... i'll be sure to return the favor one day ( or flavor if i can find a good one, might take some time and sampling though ;-))

Loves and Hugs....

I'm glad you gals were able to RISE to the challenge! ::whistle::

I have no idea exactly where that epiphany came from, but I went with it as soon as it popped into my sick little mind.

Dame Goode, next time I see you, I'll have a rose with a goodly task for you too. Hopefully you're through with your bun baking and you're able to run amok again! Hugs to you and Riggor, and the wee Kat-- and the yet unnamed one in the oven! I'll miss you!

Wonder if I can pull off a visit to ORF this season....? Maybe if I'm really GOOD... *rotfl* *rotfl* Yeh... like THAT'LL happen.

:shhh: Mags... start drawing up the plans, and I'll nab a spoon for diggin. With the right strategy, mebbe we can bust outta this joint for a wee trip.

Just think: Wills. In tights. Heh. Yah. ::whistle::

Now I have three things to be grateful for:
1. I wasn't at MIRF that weekend
2. I won't be at ORF
3. Kilts don't have buttons::yay::
