Hi all....
I was there, but I didn't see anybody that I could figure was a wench - but lots of people dressed AS wenches, of course. I was in green underskirt/green and blue plaid overskirt, white chemise and a light blue bodice - anybody see me? ::whistle::
Do you all wear your pins openly? The only person I know is a wench that I talked to was Mother Superior, and she was definitely not being wenchy today, LOL.
Also... where is the entrance to the hostel? I went into Uncommon Adornments, and they let me go in through their shop, but I don't know where the other entrance is.
Hopefully I'll get to meet you another weekend. We WILL be going out there again. Today was most amusing, as during the Ded Bob Sho, my boyfriend was "zombie number 2" - Ned. *rotfl*

Did you know that the mother superior used to play one of the whores?? she'll still give you a piece but only out of habit.

You were so very waiting to use that, weren't you? You had best be careful there Biker - the Good Mother just may get her nun-chucks out and ~THWAP!~ you in places you ain't been ~THWAPED!~ in a long time.... 8-)
Anyway Kitty, yes we do wear our pins openly. Most of the the Wenches I know wear them on their bodice - mine is usually on my right bodice strap. The Big Guinness Pub is usually a good spot to find one of us - it's the usually watering hole. Failing that - look around the Village for Katie O'Connell, the Village Librarian. Ask the faire preformers where she is. Not only is she the Librarian (Ook), she's our Madame and can point you in the direction of someone.
To find the entrance to the Hostel, walk down the path from Uncommon Adornments toward the Children's Dell. Right bewtween the wood shop (where they have the big carving wheel (looks like a big spinning wheel, but they are carving out a bowl with it) and the bakery, there is a big wooden gate with a door right next to the wood shop. It has a sign on it that reads "No Admittance Without Proper Identification" but go thru there anyway. Go back thru the privys and the dumpsters and you will see a gate with a wreath on the door. Thru that door is the back area of Uncommon Adornments and the Hostel.
I'm glad you had fun today! I will be out there the remaining Saturdays, so I will keep an eye out.

I'm sorry that I missed you. Actually, I missed just about everyone on Sunday. I fell ill during parade, bowed out and spent most of the day sitting in the hat booth I work for (Blonde Swan) up near the joust field.
I will be there this weekend and probably wearing my red and black moresca and either a red muffin hat or my tan witch hat. I don't wear the good hat in bad rain, so on goes the muffin cap.
Anyway, Suz is right about where the entrance is. Actually, if you see a wench wearing a whole bunch of keys hooked together, that's our Walk Mistress, Kendra. I can usually be located at the Blonde Swan at 12 noon until parade starts at one. Then back to the shop, muster at 3 by the wishing fountain, and at Authentic Wardrobe (near the rock climbing wall up front). If you check with AW, the girls in there are wenches or can locate me usually.

Thanks for the info Margaret! I was there on Sat the 16th, and that is when I was introduced to the guild. I wanted to come back on the Sun, but my girlfriend who came with thought she was going to die (some ladies just can't hold their mead!!)::beerbud: .
So now the plan is to make it out for the final weekend, and hopefully she can make two days of it this time...
