Curiousity question here....

While making your bodices/tunics/collars/cuffs/etc, what kind of an interfacing do you use between your layers (if you do use interfacing). I usually use a fusible interfacing with nothing less than a mediumweight. I'll use a lightweight fusible for my non-costume related kids clothes....

Bodices rate an interfacing of muslin--sometimes 2 layers. Anything else, depends on the fabric.....I use lots of 100% cotton, so generally a light fusible.....

Bodices I interface heavily - a suit interfacing usually unless my fabric is also heavy. For collars, cuffs, etc, I usea a fusible *kit* interfacing - when I use one - that was a hint from my local sewing mavens... It works well!

I interface places like necklines, armholes, etc. Other than that, I interline or flatline fitted garb.

Choosing a fabric that mates well with the fashion fabric is an absolute must!

With interlining/flatlining, even loosely woven fabrics can hold up to regular wear. :)
