Anyone interested in some free fabric that I got through Freecycle?
Pictures can be seen by clicking HERE (http://new.photos.yahoo.com/cali_and_lb/album/576460762316472207#page1)!
The sizes vary from several yards to perhaps a small 12" x 12" swatch. If what you want fits in a cheap envelope from the post office its completely free. If the shipping is more than $4.50 I would ask for the exact amount I pay to ship.
Most here is brocades that would be enough for a bodice in a standard size large. The most fabric is the last picture.
I have a grocery sack full of white lace and eyelet, two strange blue fabrics and a huge amount of odd orange and black fake fur. Its all up for free grabs! Please take it before I cart it off to goodwill. Thanks!

Hi I'm interested in the red brocade, the blue brocade and the white lace. If is still available I will be more than happy to take it out of your hands.
Let me know.

Whooty, I would love that 1/2 yard scrap of the gingham floral...the tan one, and the tan and pink, or pink brocade with the deer on it...and maybe any white scraps you have left. (still collecting bits of white for a future project)
PM me and let me know shipping, and what is available still.

Thank you ladies!
PM's have all been responded to and many fabric is now allocated to my fellow wenches. If you are interested in anything cus there is some left I believe please send me a PM with your name, address and which one you want!
I hope to find time on Friday to hit up the post office.
Thanks so much, I would have hated to drop this all off at Goodwill not knowing if they would keep it or toss it.

If the blue fabric, the cream brocade, and the random black fur bits are available: I'd love to take them off your hands. :)

The pics now say if they are TAKEN or not. The cream brocade with pagodas and animals is still up for grabs along with the blue odd swirly fabric and the fake fur.
I will measure the cream brocade tonight. There are two or more pieces and they are substantial.
Ysobelle, I put aside several pieces that I may or may not use and will bring you some on the 21st. ;)

Its fabulous of course! So many people have complimented its fantastic look and workmanship and I simply boast that its a MayFaireMoon!
Now I just need to get motivated to turn my pretty black silky fabric into a chemise to set it off beautifully.

HEY! You, m'dear, owe me the name of a certain Scottish tartan material source! :)
And I see I missed out on the plaid. How much was there of that anyway?
Okay, not to threadjack, but awhile ago someone posted the link for Freecycle and I checked it out. I recently tried to find it again, and can't. Is it .org or .com?
Wishing for a fabulous find too.............

I gotta tell ya.............. this was a fun thread. I love freecycle and the thought of such a great find there and sharing the wealth here is inspirational!! One thing I ask though, I would love to see pix of what is created out of this fabric! I am a slave to curiosity and always in awe of the creativity and artistry of the people on this board.
Thanks!

I too love Freecycle. I believe that the website is .org but as I simply joined the yahoo group for my area, I dont go to the main page ever. I get the email notification and respond via that. I have gotten a small bag of fabric, this huge supply of fabric and seen sewing machines, patterns and craft supplies available in my area. Its amazing. I recommend it to everyone!
I should be using it to get rid of my excess junk but have yet to gather it all up for giving away. Yeah, im procrastinating.
I still have yet to measure the cream brocade too. Bad Cali! Bad! It will get done and fabric will get dropped in the mail to those that PM'd me their wants and addresses.

Four packages of fabric got sent out on Saturday. I am still awaiting for a PM from one with address or else I will put the fabric back up for grabs. I need to get one more package, with the cream brocade, together and I think thats everything!

Got the fabric yesterday. Thank you very much, it will be transformed in a bodice for me (mixed with an other piece of farbic I had hanging around) and bodice for my daughter. It's gorgeous and I hope I will be good enough to do it justice.
