LOST Episode 2 SPOILERS

So wow....Ben's a lifer on the island. So maybe his parents were Hanso/Dharma members and he was born there? We have definite proof now that they have contact and access to the outside world. Perhaps...they aren't that far away from civilization afterall?

I LOVED when Sawyer kissed Kate. It was absolutely awesome.

The mystery woman speaking to Kate through the bushes...will she be key to a future escape?

I can't believe Sayid let them get that boat!! I'm usually happy with his actions, but that plan was not well thought outl. I mean it never occurred to him to stay ON THE BOAT? I am glad Sun actually used the gun, I was sure she'd let herself get captured. I am sure the Others will want her when they find out she's pregnant. To touch on a subject in the last LOST thread....the Others may not be evil, BUT they aren't good either....they kidnapped Claire, they hung Charlie. So I'd say they are capable of worse.

I wonder what this thing that Ben will ask Jack to do will be? My guess is something similar to the deal they struck with Michael so he could get Walt and leave the island. Maybe a "do this and we'll let you leave with Kate" bargaining thing to get him to bring more of his group to them?

Still not too sure what to make of Juliette, she may end up being an ally to Jack and the other survivors. Seems there was some tension between her and Ben again...especially when that other woman showed up to speak to Ben about the survivors having a boat.

So what do you all have to add?

I second the awesome kiss between Sawyer and Kate! You know, it makes me wonder if the others are *trying* to push those two together and see what happens. Could they have been put in a situation better devised to make them fall in love?

And Jack...it looks like they're trying to create a 'stockholm' situation there.

As for whether the others are good or not...I still see possibility that all they are doing/have done is to protect themselves and to protect whatever their big secret is. We don't *know* what their reasons were for kidnapping Claire, but she didn't seem to be hurt. The worst thing they've done is hang Charlie, but again, we don't know why. If we saw the hanging from their point of view, we might have more sympathy for them. After all, our group of people has done some pretty bad things too. Torturing Sawyer? Torturing Henry? (Especially considering he *might* have just been some innocent guy who floated in on a balloon!) The way the tailies treated the guys they captured? All things considered, I think I'd feel safer with the Others than I would our guys.

I like Juliette. But I don't think she'll ever turn against her group. She's a true believer in what she's doing.

I agree - the kiss was awesome, but for me it was wasted hour until the end with Ben and Jack and the Red Sox. Very disappointed. The flash backs were a waste of time. We already knew about all that, who cares!

Hoping next week is better. Another week of too many questions and not enough answers.
