So who bought it?

Jim Paradise... He owns Colorado too. It seems as if it's going to be.... More interesting that GPRF was... I guess we shall see

Huzzah! Wenches are welcome I take it? Any plans for a specific weekend?

No plans quite yet, but we're working on it. We're going to have a meeting closer to the opening to see what we can work out.

And as of right now, we don't know if Wenches are welcome yet or not. The former owners were not Wench friendly

Former owner was an a$$hat.

(damn, that was my out loud typing, wasn't it?)

To say the least...

(coming from one of his former actors!)

Why shouldn't the owner be Wench friendly? When have Wenches been anything but Friendly?

Perhaps that's the very reason it went under... alienating his/her best customers afterall... *hides*

I am looking forward to going this year though. I was all set to go last year and found out late that it was gone. *sniffle*

So let me know when you're planning to go

The guy that owns Colorado now owns Pittsburgh (Mr. Paradise, can't remember his first name). I guess we should ask the wenches from out west their opinion of him.

I have plans per Hez to do that very discreetly... I'll let everyone know what I find out

Well since it's in between my 2 CT faires, but during NYRF, I can give a weekend to give it a go see. My son and I are all into seeing some new faires this year and hopefully we can get the hubby rennie-ized this year.

Count us in on a visit probably Sept 8 weekend. Hey Cricket - you and Bob want to tag along for a visit???

Glad to hear it will be back up and running! Too bad it's not a spring Faire, as I just made arrangements to fly into Pittsburgh for two work projects (one near Greenville, PA and one near Elkins, WV).

Any updates on this? I see the dates are posted on their website as:

August 25/26 September 1/2/3, 8/9, 15/16, 22/23, 29/30 2007
Saturdays, Sundays and Labor Day Only!

Anyone planning on attending? I'm game if a group of wenches is in.

Those are the correct date. I'll be working there. As will be 2 other pinned wenches, doing the bawdy ballads show. (probably not displaying our pins though). We are the Naughty Bawdy Babes. We'll be there every weekend, and look forward to seeing anyone who can come out! Our Madame has a henna booth as well, so there is a wench presence, but we don't have a presence with the management yet. Waiting till next year for that. Going to put a good foot forward, and let them see what entertainment we can bring to the shire and then talk to them! If you want to know something more specific, let me know! Thanks!

Thanks so much for the well wishes... Opening weekend was great... Can't say it didn't go off without a hitch, but it did VERY well!

It looks as though I'll be there on Sunday, Sept. 23. Saturday is the Pitt game (which is what HE's coming up for -- the trade off is going to faire on Sunday). Hope to see you there.

I will be there. I am one of The Naughty Bawdy Babes. We perform down at the Pub Stage and I am generally the sister in blue or the blonde sister if I happen to not be wearing blue that day. I look forward to meeting you!

I'm one of the founding members of Local 35, at the Colorado faire, and all I can say is....*heavy sigh*....hope you have better luck than us.

Try to speak to the entertainment director, Tom Rehn. I've worked with him, he and I did bits together. He's off the wall, has a million ideas in his head at once, hyper as all get out, but a really great guy. If you can get his ear first, you may stand a good chance.

I hope you all are having a great season so far! Hubby and I plan on visiting your faire, some day! ;-)

I wish you all the luck with getting the wenches recognized there. I haven't given up hope with Colorado just yet....still trying to prove we really are good girls!

BTW, have any of you met Prince Charming and The Dashing Prince yet? Next time any of you might be at faire, please tell Charming Jess Devyne says "Hi, and we miss him very much!"

I understand trying to prove that we are all really good girls... It's those who aren't pinned who give us all a bad name.

I have met both Prince Charming and Sir Dashing. They are some of my favorite toys... er I mean men. Both so pretty to look at! I will be there this weekend doing the show, so I will pass the word onto Charming.
