I couldn't make it to Wicked Faire, and my season probably won't kick off officially until school lets out at the end of June. So, as you can imagine, there seems to be a verrrrry lonnnnnng time till I can get garbed up and play again!

So I assuage my doldrums with this (http://www.parenfaire.com/DVDClip/Renweb.wmv), and thought maybe some of you would enjoy it as a little snippet-tease of what fun we'll have in the '07 season!

And then I go order new garb...because there's no therapy like retail therapy! *rotfl*

Well, I am going to start sewing this year's garb soon, so that will help. I just bought the most gorgeous teal cotton gauze! Now it's just a question of whether I have time to make two complete outfits this year, or just the one....*wanders off mumbling her herself about available months divided by available yardage*

ok, it seems like a lot but its a far cry from counting down the days from 2006 closing day.

And there's always Celtic Fling...
Or one of the other preseason events...
Or just wandering around in the parking lot in garb whenever you feel like it...

Yeah, it's PARF...and you know what, we oughtta put our heads together and all rent out oh, let's say, half the Hampton Inn across the street, and dub it a Wench-Dorm for at least one weekend.

Ladies, I can't recommend it highly enough! Ysobelle's corsets, (not to mention the presence of Ysobelle her fantabulous self), Albannach, Tartan Terrors, Empty Hats, all the opportunities for kilt-checks a girl could EVER wish for, and that's not even scratching the surface! Mead--oh the mead...mulled wine... Winery on site for taking mead home! Wondrous...ye powers and principalities, how I want to go back NOW!!

The closing is astounding...I think I may only be exaggerating a TINY bit when I say that the closing alone makes the entry price worthwhile. So much so, I threw myself in and practically became part of it! I managed to hold back from actually climbing onto the stage...just barely!

The hubby and I went the year before last, and had the greatest time -- we just couldn't manage the time this past season. And I'm upset I couldn't get to Wicked and have a fitting with Ysobelle, so now I have to get to PARF!

Most definitely!!! It'll be nice to have one of the "locals" show us around..... and I can follow through on my promise to Angela Dahling to come to "her" faire while she's there!

We only went for one day back in 2005, and regretted not allowing more time. Now we just have to pick the best weekend.... Any suggestions?
