View Full Version : Stockwood Wench Walks, guild activities....

Since I've seen the question about it come up under the local 69 and the wench watch sections, I figured best to post my reply here as well for those wondering about walks, etc at Stockwood:

There will be a walk each day, scheduled at a set time. I will be running them, as I have the past 2 Stockwoods. I am the Guild Liaison, you got questions regarding on-site guild activities.....ask me. That would include ALL guilds.

Remember Stockwood is a professional show. A lot of people are putting a lot of hard work and time into rehearsals. Like every dang weekend since late November through to opening....

So we gals looking to have some fun on a walk must remember that we cannot interupt or upstage any of the rehearsed pieces. So.....breaking out into random bawdy songs or impromptu performances CANNOT happen. Rogueings and wenchings, should be cleared with management FIRST. I will be on site all 4 days, so if you have any last minute requests, find me and get approval. This way nothing we do for fun will interfere with the show. The story line goes all throught the site and you may not even realize that what's going on around you is in fact, a rehearsed part of the show. Now I'm not saying it's a police state and no one can have any fun, far from it.....and anyone who attended in the past can attest to that. We just have to watch what we do and when, like at pretty much any faire we attend. :D

When we get closer to Stockwood and I know what time our walks will happen, I will post about it. In fact I'll post the above to the Stockwood board on IBRSC too.

Cheers and looking foward to an EVEN better Stockwood...this time around TWICE the FUN!!

Tink:

Is there a hostel location for sign-ins and posting of the weekend activities? Want to make sure we all follow the rules and the like.....

Also, if anyone has any questions about costume guidelines for Stockwood, throw 'em my way. The ones I can think of off the top of my head:

1. Hats are encouraged-- including garlands-- but not mandatory. Be comfy.

2. Cleavage is encouraged, but heavage is not. If people follow you around with a net just in case the girls break free, yeah, you should probably tuck in a bit more.

3. Be happy.

4. Have fun!

Tink- You have info on the Brewing contest? I can't seem to find anything on the page and I was wondering if they'll accept Cordials into the contests!

Info about the brew contest is on the IBRSC site under the Stockwood section (faire specific forums)

Steve aka Madmage the site guru runs it...you can contact him directly at [email protected]

Funnier still....I have encountered many people at faire that SHOULD be chased with a net....however, not due to heavage....

72 days...and way too much clay to go through until then. Anyone need exercise? I could use someone to lug 50lb bags around with me! LOL.
