View Full Version : Tammy Faye

While I completely disagree with many things she stands for, I can't help but feel sympathy for the woman. She's dying a terrible death. And like many people, I saw a different side of her when I watched the train wreck called "The Surreal Life". I don't get into the reality shows, but I had to watch Tammy Faye Bakker and Ron Jeremy live in the same house. She surprised me and in the end, I think many people had a few things about her all wrong.

If I learned anything about her while she was on the Surreal Life, it was that she was actually just a normal person. She wasn't preachy like I thought she would be and seemed to bond with Ron Jeremy, which I found both confusing and refreshing.
While on the show, she did an appearance at a lesbian group and preached to them. She gained even more of my respect during that talk. It was really quite touching. She seems to be dedicated in a very "real" way.
The sad thing is that she will probably suffer, and hasn't the woman suffered enough?

Cancer is one of the cruelest things to have to suffer through.
I only heard a snippet on tv about her last night but, she seems to have a positive outlook and that's the most important thing of all.
I send many blessings to her.

Oh, sweet heaven. That poor woman-- like she hasn't been through enough? I'll pray for a miracle, but more importantly, for peace and a surcease of pain.

My Grandmother just finished her chemo for colon cancer. The treatment was bad enough, I'd hate to think of what happened if one stopped.
She's in God's hands. He'll care for her.
