Wedding 7-7-7

I had written up a whole message and it disappeared. Let's try this again.

As some of you know I was getting married. Well it happened last Saturday. Only a few small things that went wrong, which means it was great.

The weather at the end of last week was hot, and we were worried how bad the day would be with my heavy dress. However the weather turned cooler just in time for the weekend and then shot up to 102 on Tuesday.

The pirates (BOOM) were great. The sword fight objection was a surprise to most everyone. My favorite part was when our Reverend asked "So does any one else object?" We did have it recorded. So as soon as we have it, we will be posting it on youtube.

The reception was also wonderful. The pirates performed again with singing and skits. The people that were invited say it’s the best wedding they’ve been to. And while I wasn’t going for best, I was going for different.

I do have pictures under password protection. Anyone that wants to see them just PM me. I would post a teaser picture, but adding images won't let me post. I do have one on my profile page.

And for those that helped me look for a corset, I ended up making one. I am really proud of it, and hope to have pictures soon.

And for those that are interested. I made my own dress, the grooms doublet and the groomsmen's tunic. My mother made the bridemaids dresses and the big purple and gold banners.

He was even nicer. He was defending my honor. :wink: I wish we could have come up last week-end. But after all the wedding expenses we just couldn't pull a trip together. However we will be seeing them again at the local pirate festival next month.

Apparently, my children will be hoisting me by my own petard if I don't take them to see Splinter and Capt'n Bogg & Salty for the weekend. I should be wandering the festival for most of the day Saturday, and a good portion of the morning Sunday. I'm not slated to perform....but that's never stopped the Ale Wenches from draggin' me in the Pub for a song or two. Isabelle will be with me, so I'm certain wyckedness will abound.

I do believe that we are going to try and go if at all possible. I just quit my job and am looking for something new so $$$ might be an issue. But if it's at all possible I do want to be there.

That's where we planned to have it but wires got crossed somehow and it didn't work out that way. We ended up down in the copse of trees by the participants gate just next to the pirate ship stage. I think it's the alder grove stage. It worked out all for the best and just the way it was supposed to happen.

We will be there Saturday. I've already bought my tickets. I am working on finishing my new pirate coat. My man will most likely be wearing the outfit in the photos. We are trying to get a group of people that went to the wedding to go with us.

I am hoping with people getting tickets mailed to them this will make entrance easier . The lines were extremely slow last year. Even will call was bad. And just so you know, parking there is really bad. We found when we got there before opening we could park in the lot, but it filled up quick and left city streets for finding a spot. And it's a climb when leaving.

Though Bonnie you might know this all already as didn't you guys perform last year?

This will be fun. It's pretty sparse in pinned Wenches in my area, so I look foward to any visiting ones.
