Hey folks! CRF Invasion information has been finalized! Below you will find
info regarding events throughout the weekend including the faire website that gives
directions and show schedules. You will also find Hotel Otter and Invasion
Dinner info as well.


CRF Invasion Info:

There will be a running game throughout the day. Winners and prizes will be
announced at the Invasion Dinner, Saturday evening. So please be sure to check
in at the Hostel "Dragon & Unicorn Leather Mugs" for game information first
thing Invasion Saturday morning if you would like to play.

PHOTOS!!! What would Invasion be without our Invasion photo?!? The Invaders
group photo will take place at the 'The Kissing Bridge' (near the Dutch Door)
at 1pm. Please have your cameras ready! ;)

WE HAVE PUB SING!!! The following information is directly from the New CRF
Entertainment Director. The Pub Sing will be a daily event nearby the washing
well stage, across from Crown Pub under the King's Commons covered tent /
picnic area at 4:45 just as the Final Joust comes to an end. The Crown Pub is
at the main food court (near where the maypole USED to be).

CRF Invasion Hotel Info: Provided by John Broadfoot

This year, as usual, Hotel Otter is the Quality Inn at Huntersville, just 6.2
miles from faire. Use the term "Invasion Otters" when making your reservations.
Invasion is the second weekend of November, and these rates are good for
November 9th, 10th and 11th.
$54/night for a king or two double beds with coffee maker, hair dryer and
ironing board. For those of you with mobility difficulties, the hotel has
elevators and ground floor rooms with outside exposure. Be sure to ask for an
outside room if you want one. They're setting a few aside for us due to my
recent poll.
Deluxe continental breakfast is complimentary, the food is typical of Hotels
Otter we're familiar with. Free local phonecalls and free wireless internet.
Reservation telephone number is (704) 892-6597. Use ONLY this number. Do NOT
use the website or the toll free number!. If you have any difficulty making
your reservations, ask for Scott Barnette who set up these rates for us. If you
are unable reach Scott Barnette or run into any issues, please email John

CRF Invasion Dinner Info: Provided by Lillirose

When: Saturday Nov. 10
Time: 7 pm - ?
Where: The Conference room at the Hawthorne Suites (next to the Quality Inn)
Cost: $10 per person

We will provide food, drinks(non-alcoholic) and fun. If you have any board
games that you would like to play, please bring them! This is a great way to
get to know new people and reconnect with friends we haven't seen for a while.
Alcohol is BYOB.

A letter from The Lost Boys:
- We do have a bit of disappointing news. We are sad to announce
that negotiations with the Carolina Renaissance Festival have broken
down for this year, and we, alas, will not be able to return for this
coming fall season. We do have every hope for the 2008 festival, and
in the meantime we're looking to book an all ages show in the
Charlotte area sometime this fall. Have no fear; we will be back in
some shape or form very soon... :End Lost Boys message.
