I am a new wench to Carolina. I wanted to know if The faire in Raleigh is to be attended by the Wench's guild or if I attended it would be solo? I can only attend the weekend of April 5th and 6th as I work the other weekends. I would like to meet other wenches and get to know some of us in Carolina.
Thank you,
Lady trouble

Hello there and welcome to the area!

There will be a few of us running around NCRF that weekend. I'm sorry that you have to work the third weekend. The majority of the guild will be there since it is Invasion Weekend.

We have a local board that a lot of us use to keep up with things. Please sign up so you'll get to see what's going on.

The best camping in all of North Carolina is right there at the faire grounds. I hear there are a lot of rogues in kilts passing around bottles of mead. Just sayin'...

I used to work at the Ramada Blue Ridge many moons ago. It's quite nice, with a restaurant, a small bar, workout room and a pool.

The rest of the Clan may be there. I'm still not sure I'm going to be "allowed" on the grounds again.

I did have a question about the Raleigh fair. Is there going to be a Wench Walk? I always seem to miss it when I'm there. :(

Funny enough, I lived in Virginia for the past 3 years, and hadn't heard of it. can someone give me a hint if it is worth a three hour drive...I am moving soon, but should be around just long enough to make it.

Looks as if I will be at the faire as well, down from CT, working the Silvermane booth, all three weekends...

So please stop in and say hello!

It's a lovely little faire - it's small, but it has a lot of heart. Good shopping and some great shows. :)

I'm convinced (like it's hard to come up with a reason to go to a faire). Any must-sees?

Kind of depends on what you like.
For me I love the Coursing of the hounds,
the jousts and the parade of the Clans.
(I have this thing about men in kelts) :-D
