Some of the recent topics (and my birthday coming up on Saturday, for which I'll be in Albert Lea at an indoor show,)(6+ inches of snow on the ground and temp in the sigle digits,) have made me curious about what ages we represent. Who's the youngest wench? Who's the oldest? What's the median age?

I'll start - this Saturday I'll turn 47 - a whole year older than my mom ever got to be. And, I'm an Aquarian, FWIW

I always tell myself that my husband is older than me and always will be *g* (only 3 years but still...)

I firmly believe that age is a state of mind we're only as aged as our mind stell us we are (or aren't)... my mom is one of the youngest people i know and she'll be 50 in March!

I get the Ruby in a few weeks. I have threatened anyone with a beating if they get me any black balloons or send me any "Lordy, Lordy ... "cards. I just want to enter middle age in peace, no cliches. My age doesn't bother me, just idiots who have to make jokes about it. On the bright side, I get to be of the early-something group again.

I'm 41 - 42 in August. That's my physical age. Just yesterday I was talking to a coworker and we decided we really only feel (and act) like we're in our mid-20's.

I'll be 38 this month and married a man 5 years younger. He definitely keeps me young.

My body feels 85 and my brain feels 15 so I guess it's appropriate that I'm actually in-between!

Just remember - It's never too late to have a happy childhood.

And am such a classic Virgo it's not funny.

Oh, thank goodness I'm not the youngest! I'm 26 (although my 3 year old daughter tells everyone I'm 5!). I seem to have only friends who are considerably older than I am, and it was starting to weird me out little! Yay! I'm not the baby this time!

My 5 yr old tells everyone that I'm 60-99. That's quite a ways off from the actual 36 that I am.

When Mum and I went to see the Righteous Brothers in October last year, it was Bill Medley's birthday. He told everyone that he was 50-12. Nice way of saying that he was 62 without actually saying it!

Turning 40 wasn't very traumatic, actually - the Wenches helped make sure of that. And it was at Faire. :D :bow: :grouphug:

Just turned 30 this past December and I rang it in with bells on and huge, fun-filled cruise with a dozen friends.

Best birthday I ever had. Especially since my 29th birthday was spent in panicky-shock and disbelief at my impending mortality. ::cackle::

Yup..... I'm a June baby too ! And definitely definitely Cancerian ! Moody, emotional and intuitive with the best of them ! And this June I'll be turning.... *sigh* ........36.
I'd feel about 7-8 years younger if my daughter would stop pulling crap that makes me wear out faster !!!!!
It's bad when your teenager takes more work than your 3 1/2 month old !

I am 45 years young I will turn 46 at my home faire at Bristol in August and I am a typical Leo! I too feel as if age is only a number. I am currently living with the love of my life, (finally, after a 20 year miserable-for the sake of the children marriage) My love is 27 years of age and the most terrific thing that could ever have happened to me! He isn't quite into the faire thing but he doesn't mind that I do!

And actually, the funny thing is I'm finally at the age people have thought I was for over 10 years -when I was 17 they said "you're what, 26, 27? Once I hit 20 it was "around 28" and I've been there ever since... now if only I can keep the age and not progress any further!
*G* Honestly, I don't mind getting older. Life has shown me that it's not done with me for a long while, so I might as well settle in for the long haul... :D

and ever since I was thirty, I've been saying, on my birthday (june 3rd), that I am celebrating the ? anniversary of my thirtieth. Like this year will be the third anniversay of my thirtieth birthday. kinda a special day I think.

I just turned 38 in December....but my mom is the oldest IWG member that I know of. She's turning 58 in June.

Yeah...I'm the capricorn and she's the cancer. What a pair. ;-)

There are actually *quite* a few members in their 50's, but most of them don't post or even care about the webpage. ;-)

It's funny, I have no trouble with age any more. Only when I truned 25 did it bother me. Thought by that time that I would have been married and have kids already. After I got over that idea, no age has given me the willies.

I have given up on fighting the aging process. I'm facing 40 with all the grace that a purple-haired, pierced person can muster. The love of my life is about to turn 46 and he loves that I don't look or act my age. And I love that he still puts up with me.

I'll just attribute it to good genes and hope that I've passed them on to Rhiannon Skye.

I'm 38, although most people don't think it. I rather enjoy the looks I get when I tell people my age and that I have an 11 year old son! I'm hoping I still get those looks for a long, long time! I'm a Virgo tempered by sitting on the cusp of Libra. So Alianne... how are we celebrating this year!?!

The oldest pinned wench I know of is KCRFs Anna Brooks aka Queen Mum. I told her about the guild about three years ago and she couldn't wait to join - and her hubby is a rogue. Anna is either 64 or 65 and anyone at KCRF can attest to what an amazing woman and incredible performer she is. She was going to retire at the end of the past season, but at our recent recruitment and reunion party there she was ... and she told me she just can't completely walk away afterall - which is great news for all of us - especially our performer apprentices, as she is one of the apprentic coordinators.

Since we're going to a non-historical royal family this year, she won't be playing Queen Mum, but since she wears weekend theme-appropriate costumes anyway, she can be whomever she wants to be as long as we get to see her! Besides, she's promised to teach me to tat. :D

:hearts: My twin girls (wenches in training, ;) ) will be 2yrs old this coming October 23, 2003. Now the hard part is that they were born right on the boarder line of Libra and Scorpio. Since we have "A Lot" of Scorpios in the family (me being one of them), I went right to the Libra side for them. Some charts say they are Libras and some say they are Scorpios. :hmm:

For those that have requests in to me, I've got the charts run on my Palm, I'm going to be drawing it up for you to be able to see (and hopefully print out) because the Palm doesn't export that to the computer so I can get at it, and I'll be running the research so I can tell you what it means (at least, according to my research material).

I celebrated my 50th birthday opening weekend at MDRF last summer (Virgo), and I am going to celebrate it again this coming summer. Thats right, I am not getting any older than 50.
