That by the 3rd week of PARF, the rogue and I will be having a rogue in training! We had the official anatomy ultrasound today and our little RIT was cooperative in letting us know what he was! So I think he will be comfortable in his kilt! Well, once I get him one. I think my mom and I are going to look for a little pirate costume to start him out though! Anyway, I just thought I would share some good news!

Congratulations, m'dear!!! ::boingyw::

I can't wait to find out what I'm having...I have a U/S tomorrow to do the nnuchal fold measurement, but since I am only 12.5 weeks along, there probably won't be a gender call.

We are! And the name we are leaning towards is Paul Matheson. Matheson is Scottish for "son of bear". So we are considering Scottish names but I think naming him Scott is cheating (plus it is my rogue's name!)

Thanks to everyone for the congrats :) We are quite excited. ALthough my boy cat is going to get awefully confused when I start calling the baby my little boy as that is what I usually call him!

I'm partial to Seamus myself. :) It's what I should have went with when I chose "Sheumais." Either way, it's the Gaelic equivelant to my actual name (sorta).

My son Hunter's middle name is Quinlan. Old Gaelic for Wise one if I remember correctly.

My WIT was going to be a "Teague" if'n she was a "he"....although her father was making a big arguement for "Oscar"...yeah...like THAT would happen...

So I thought we were all set on Paul Matheson but apparently the rogue thinks Matheson may be too "different" and sounds like someone's last name. *shrug* So I am going to have him come up with his own list and we will see from there. I will try to come up with an alternative list myself but I still like Paul Matheson! The joys of naming a human being!

If its a middle name, who cares! Most people don't even know the middle name. Heck, my baby has two middle names and most people only know one, if they know one at all. The way things are going, Peanut is going to have two middles as well.

Middle names are for names you love, but your child would hate as a first name!

My son has two middle names and for the longest time, he got pissed because there wasn't room for both of his initials on paperwork.

My three youngest all have two middle names each, for different reasons. It adds a whole new layer to trouble--if I get from Tommy all the way to Thomas Gregory Curtis, that child better RUN!

Sneaky little wench! *hugs*

Ours were named as such... 1st born carries my name and my father's name. I quite possibly would have killed SM had she given the boy any other name. And the kid stands tall and speaks strong when he tells you that his name is Jimmy Dean Warren, III.
2nd born was named, sort of, after SM. Alexander is a male equivelant to Sandra. Where she came up with Matthew... *shrug* but the deal was she named the second child.
The princess got her name because I found it beautiful, and SM liked it as well, so I got my way. As for the spelling... I wanted that just to be different. Jocelyn Leigh. Beautiful, right?

Mine all have reasons for all the names too

Brian Scott--Brian for his dad's best friend, Scott for his dad

David William--named after both his grandfathers. Ex wanted HIS dad's name to be first, but I like the name David better, it flows better this way, and the ex-s last name was Bowling. No child of mine was going to be called Billy Bowling!!

Steven Joseph Read--Steven Joseph after DH's grandfathers, Read is my maiden name

Thomas Gregory Curtis--wanted to name the little guy after FIL. FIL's name, unfortunately, is Marvin--but his middle name is Thomas! Gregory after DH, Curtis was DH's brother who passed away while I was pregnant with Tommy (aka Tommy Monster and Skinny Monkey Boy)

James Lawrence Michael--James just cause we love the name, Lawrence for my MIL Laura, and Michael, again because we love the name. It was going to be just James Michael, but my MIL asked so nicely, and he was the last chance for a baby to be named after her. Had he been a girl, his name would have been Sharon Laura, for the grandmothers.

At Faire last year, our Faire team leader in the Media Olympics christened our trio the Ninja Warrior Monkeys. He taught them a pose and a battle cry!
