Here's a link to a video about llamas protecting sheep (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/7451827.stm) herds in the UK.

Pretty cool, if you ask me.

We have a sheep herd right outside of town here that has a Llama protecting it. A couple of years ago, a cougar ( Mountain lion) came after the sheep. Fianl score?

Llama 1
cougar 0

The Llama stomped the cougar to death.

I'll see if I can get some pics of it to post here soon.

The lambies are so cute. When we went to New Zealand it was lambing time and the farmers' wives made little coats for the lambs so they would stay warm. I like the way the llamas hold their heads up high like they are lpotentates of the flock. Thanks for sharing!

Llamas are frequently used to protect flocks of sheep. They are very territorial and protective.
