Sarah Rachelle Segal was born via c-section at 9.23 this morning, weighing 6lbs, 13 oz. She has big dark eyes, lots of silky dark hair, and lungs like a bean sidhe. That's my girl!

Okay, technically, that's my niece, but you get the point, I'm sure.

Mom, Dad, and baby are all well. Mom's a little green from the morphine still, and Dad looks like he doesn't know what hit him, but they're fine. Paternal grandparents are thrilled-- this is their umpteenth grandchild. My parents are over the moon and borderline gibbering idiots-- this is their first grandchild. Well, the first with two feet, that is.

All's well with the world in this family.

I finally got to hold her today. Wow. She's so TINY! And her little ears are just so perfect! And she looks JUST like...well, Winston Churchill, really. Maybe Joe Pantoliano. But I cuddled her for a few minutes, and she slept quite blissfully until it was time for her fourth course. Or fifth. Or fifteenth, I'm not sure. Man, that kid can eat.

And did I mention her perfect little ears? Wow.

Mommy and Daddy say thanks to everyone. Honesty forces me to add that they say it with thoroughly bemused expressions. ("The Whosis say hi? Is that one of your renaissance faire things?")

I'm plotting how old she has to be before I get to take her to Faire. What do y'all think? Three years? Four?

Hell, Reilly is five months and he's already been to two faires! Largo will be his third!

Teresa, another wenchy friend of ours who hasnt seemed to make it onto the boards yet had Dria out when she was a baby too. Teresa had her right before Largo that year. We could tell hom big she ahd gotten when by the end of the run she no longer fit into her basket!

I think it depends on the child's temperment, (reilly is a horribly curious, but patient 'for the most part' and inquisitive little bugger.) and the temperment of the person that would be taking them and caring for them while they are there. Bear in mind that you might have to leave early should they get fussy or upset or some other 'ailment'
