Looking for a book I read as a little girl......

I'm just gonna throw this out there......if anyone could help, I'd gladly appreciate it......

I'm looking for this book I read as a little girl.......I'm thinking.....
Scholastic......1975-78...

A girl is in a boarding school in England...... she ends up going back in time somehow..... there is something in the book about her ending up in a small cottage in the forest listening to someone play greensleeves... she's in a room that's been heavily repainted over and over again.....Tudor roses...... if she turns one of the roses a certain way.....an opening appears in the wall.....it has mystery and suspense in the book.

If anyone knows of this book or can point me to a specialized place to ask this question.....I would be so thankful! Why? well.....lol just happens to be one of my favorite books of all time, and I've been trying to find it forever.

I was doing a search today, and found out that another of my favorite books....also scholastic.....In The Keep Of Time, was just the first in a series......I plan on buying them...... hmmmm....going through my second childhood already? or did I never leave the first??????
