DC Area - Salon-A-Thon - benefit for Children's Hospital

The hair salon that I use is promoting a *Salon-a-Thon* beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 17th, and going for 24 hours until 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 18th. Every single penny that comes through their shop - for manicures, pedicures, supplies, hair cuts, massages, perms, whatever! - every penny will be donated to DC's Children's Hospital! There will be food and champagne and a silent auction and gift bags and entertainment for everyone who visits the shop. In addition, they are flying in some really big names in the industry: from New York they are bringing in Oscar Bond, Xena Parsons, Eric Hawk, John Sahag, Dwight Miller and Albie Mulcahy; from Louisiana, Sam Brocato; and from Kansas, Eric Fisher. (Yeah, okay, so I don't know these names either, but some of you might! *g*) And even tho the salon is a little on the pricey side, please keep in mind that everything will be donated to the Children's Hospital. storm that pounded the city on the evening of the 17th didn’t
