Is there any interest in a gathering at Excalibur to do a meet and greet? Faire dates are March 13/14, 20/21, 27/28 and April 3/4. Since Excalibur is around a five hour road trip for those of us in the DFW area, and a three hour trip from Houston, you may want to consider an overnighter. If there's an interest, we can look into costs for local hotels and seeing if we can get a discount for multiple rooms.

If we can fit it into the schedule, I amvery interested.

I think what the Captain is searching for here are "dates" that you may be able to attend. So, do tell which weekends are acceptable to YOU. Hopefully we will be able to chose a weekend that is conveniant to everyone who wants to attend Excalibur.

The other question was...

Do you camp...or
Do you reserve a room...??

Waiting for feed-back,

You know me, camping is the way to go.
As for a date. If you don't mind the kids I am free March 13/14 and March 27/28. I will be at Mom's big St. Patty's Day blowout on March 20th and April 3rd is Prom.

April 3rd is also the party at our place....

I Will be there every weekend. I only live 20 miles from Excal. Let me know if you need help with phone numbers, etc.

The weekend of the 20th is out for me as well. I "must" attend the family ST. Patty's party thrown annually by my father. (Personnally, I hate missing it!)

Definitely doing Excalibur. Camping is good. Just trying to work out which weekend I'm going to Arizona for my DJ&M fix. Then I can make definite plans about Excalibur.

As for the Captain and myself...opening weekend (March 13/14) is the only weekend available for our invasion.

The rest of March is filled with excursions to Scarby and the S&B at Kae's.

Correct me if I am wrong,

03-05-2004, 09:10 AM
I thought Scarby didn't start till April 10th? :stunned:

03-05-2004, 09:27 AM
Doesn't.... Isa it talking about a site visit prior to opening; don't panic! :D

There is another S&B planned? Where have I been? Oh right, reclaiming my freedom!

Hey guys,

The invasion is the Excalibur invasion. I hope I can make it.

And yes, another SnB at my place. This one is kid friendly as well. Emily, 8, and STephen 11 willbe there for sure. If the guys want to hang they can. Let me know who will all need a place to crash. Other than that, bring your sewing supplies and a muchies. Off to sew the world up..

:sigh: ok due to me being stupid and messing up the checkbook. I don't know if I'll be able to make it this year...If I do.. it will be the last weekend.

03-08-2004, 11:04 AM
We have a spare bed at our place (cats abound so be warned) if anyone needs to crash at the SnB on 3/27

Just wanted to say thank you to all the lovely wenches who showed up
at Excalibur this past weekend. I had a wonderful time and enjoyed
finally being able to put some faces to the names I see in these
threads and on the boards.

I am thankful that we had set up a meeting time. Some of the ladies
were missing their pins, so I might have lost the opportunity to
acquaint myself with them without a gathering place. Many of the
ladies I met this weekend I have seen many times at faire, yet never
knew they were part of the Local. (Shame on me!!! Must change that!!!)

I look forward to hearing about or being a part of many future
gatherings (in or out of faire.) Don't be shy just start gathering
together and having some fun.

'Til we meet or meet again,
