Howdy!

A couple of days ago I received an email from staff at wench.org that said that my account (vanessa at wench.org) had been temporarily disabled because what amounted to mismatched password logins. Of course, the attached file that came with it was stripped by my webmail program (www.webbox.com) so I haven't been able to see the details of the issue.

Now, I'm getting incorrect password when trying to check my webmail and need to know if this is because of the temporary disabling or if someone has successfully cracked my account and has changed my password.

If it is a case of someone cracking my account, PLEASE change the password to something random and let me know what that is either via PM or I can also be contacted at lothropfamily at verizon dot net.

Thank you SOOOOOOO muchly!

Thank you SO much for reminding me - I had meant to post about this. That email is a LIE. Its a virus mail thats been going around. I never - repeat NEVER - disable anyone's email account without good reason, and never without making every effort to contact them several times.

Another important thing to note is that I NEVER sign my emails as [email protected] I sign them "The Webmistress", since thats what people know me as. There is no "staff" at wench.org :-D If you don't get it FROM me at [email protected] or [email protected], ALWAYS double check with me that its for real. These viruses get sneakier and sneakier. We have built-in virus-scanners on the server, so the threat of infection is not that high, but always check with me if you get something that seems kind of weird.

Nope, thats because I migrated the server, but I have not migrated the email accounts, since I don't have everyone's passwords yet.

To check your webmail (at least until all of the accounts are sxwitched to the new server), just go to:

http://medusa.vitruvianarts.com/webmail/

and login from there. I'll post or email everyone to let them know when all of the accounts have been migrated.

Nope, nothing to sweat over. :) Just a lame virus that our virus scanners scrubbed anyway. :)

Sorry to hear about the virus email, but glad to hear the servers' picking it off.... :)

Nah, its no worries. It doesn't really affect me (or us as a collective) much at all... its not a high volume virus, so its no big deal - it just caused a few people to panic - but that was easily cleared up as well. :)

Ok, so now I'm trying to log in to the link you posted and having had my webmail log in automatically for so long now, I have completely forgotten what my password was! :(

Would you please reset the password on my vanessa at wench dot org email account? I promise not to do this again! *dratted easy way out of those cached passwords....*
