This is still on right? I initially had it in my calendar for 3/20 at Kae's house, but it would appear that I was flat wrong, b/c they were out of town. Could the hostess please post specifics one more time for a befuddled blonde?

Thank you!

I hope it's this weekend! I'm planning the entire weekend around being there!! MUST FINISH THE CHILD'S FAIRY COSTUME (doesn't help that I haven't started it...)

Kae - PM me about what I need to bring for that as you are the self-appointed fairy-costume-maven.

Snack-ies?? Salty or sweet? what should I bring...

What pattern are you looking for?
I've got two of hers and would be happy to bring it along if you need it.

It looks like I'm going to be there. I don't have a job as of this momment, and I'm only getting a few poor leads. I doubt I'll get a call sayingI'm hired and I have to work tomarrow.

I'm thrilled and feel really bad all at the same time....

:hmm:

It's great that you'll make it, but I sympathize with the job thing... seems like half the people I know are looking for work!

Maybe we can mobilize tomorrow and come up with some leads for you!

Dang Grimmy..what happened to the bakery job? Have you tried a movie theater I know that some are starting to gear up for heavy summer usage.

There was a HUGE misunderstanding with the bakery job. It was a just weekend job that I was not aware of, plus a few days I came in soley to clean up after everyone else. And one week I was told to expect a call Monday so they could tell me the schedule, I got a call Friday, asking why I hadn't come to work. In the mean time, a store I had applied to called for an interview, I went They scheduled another interview for the next week. So I quit the bakery. I called the next Monday to confirm my interview, "Oh well we went ahead and hired someone else. " GRRRRRRR!!!!! I did have an interview at the local theatre, but they interviewed 6-9 people for 3 jobs. If I got it, I will get a call either today or tomorrow. But I don't think they will ask me to come in tomorrow. At least I hope not.

Rant Done

So sorry to hear it, Gremmy :( I'm looking forward to meeting you, though. It's bittersweet, I suppose. See everyone tomorrow!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I had a wonderful time this weekend and I accomplished several things. I met several new people this weekend. All were very kind. I made, with help from Mirabel, 6 duct tape bodice patterns. I made 2 pairs of wrap pants and one regular pair of faire pants. My house is still clean and thanks to Captain, my deck is clean as well. (Love those power washers.) I also ironed a whole lot of material and found out that Isabelle makes a wonderful crab appetizer. Yummy! Countess, I can't wait to see your final product and if you are missing a rose ribbon, I believe I have it. Neelloca's Mom was very sweet and put up with us quite well. I believe we amused her greatly. :P Erin, I have never seen anyone be able to hold a tumbler and a beer mug quite the way you do. (I am glad I have pictures!) Rhia, I hope that Tori didn't kill you and that you had enough of the faery costume done to soothe her.

Over all , I just wanted to thank everyone for making Saturday and Sunday such an enjoyable time.

Kae

This weekend was a great time! Thanks so much for everyone who helped make it sew, I mean so *g*

I don't think I've ever seen an SnB where so much sewing actually took place! Tori was fairly distracted by her entertainment for the weekend so I've earned a reprieve for now... Thanks to Mirabel for helping me with the fairy - that tissue stuff just sucks the braincells right out - I'll stick with newsprint, thank you very much!

We had a great turn out and I hope everyone had as much fun as I did!

Less than 2 weeks till Scarby!

I had SUCH a blast on Saturday. Isa, thank you thank you thank you for letting me commandeer your knitting needles! If anyone hasn't tried knitting and is considering it, I highly recommend giving it a try. It's muy mucho relaxing. Probably more so than those ef-fin hexagons. Although, with Melanie's help, I have several hexes put together now, where I didn't before.

What fun! And so much food! I think I'm STILL full.

It was a pleasure meeting you (again) Gremco.

I hope everyone has a great week.
Scarby countdown! :D

I'm fairly certain that was Enarra...

I think it was a conspiracy, there were snacks when I got there and I was ravenous so I got a burger - then people started bring yummies like the casserole and fried chicken!

I must admit there was more going on at this S-n-B than I ever expected. I just want to thank everyone who allowed me to steal ideas and hints on making my own garb. I now have no excuse not to have a fabric bin or a garb closet in my house

Thank you Kae for hosting another fabulous get together and thanks to Brenda for showing us how easy it is to knit and a special thanks to Dr. Mary for helping me with those darn sleeves.

See you all at faire,
Isabelle
