I just got off the phone with a client whom I screened for our child care assistance program. He was wonderful, funny, nice, charming. He said he just moved here from Kenya, and wasn't used to our weather. (Minnesnowta.) When I asked him, "Why did you move her?" his reply was wonderful. He quoted me a roughly translated Kenyan proverb:
"If you don't move, how do you know your mother is the best cook?"

What's your favorite proverb?

favorite proverb eh....

I have so many sayings, poverbs, etc I use depending on the situation.

I have always liked the line from Auntie Mame...."Life is a banquet and most poor bastards are starving."

I try to live by "Treat others as you wish to be treated."

This one is just cute and being freckled I like it:
"A face without freckles is like a sky without stars."
