View Full Version : Hair Style Help!

I finally broke down and mad an appointment to get my hair cut. But have now hit the "OK, just what can I do with this mop" quandry. :hmm:
I figured one of you might have an idea or 2. A bit about my hair is that it is extremely fine and thin. It currently sits about mid back, below my bra strap, and it's all one length.
Anyone out there have any ideas on how to give it more body and movement without sacrificing too much length? :?:

Layer, layer, layer... and more layers.
I know, for some, it's scary, and a dirty word, but it can work wonders!!!
How much styling time are you willing to put into a new 'do?
Yep layers is what i was going to suggest....but ask your stylist as it may work better on thicker hair vs finer, etc.
I have very long layers cut into mine, but since I have fine hair and refuse to use hair-spray, it still just basically hangs. I do have long bangs which add a nice element to long hair and looks pretty when I pull it up. Yet they are long enough, that is I want to, I can clip or brush them back.

Can't help ya - my hair is thick and course ... I get 2 inches cut off and there's more hair on the floor than someone normal with hair that went from waist length to shoulder length.

I agree on the layers...like Tink I have long layers and my hair is also fine....a good stylist is worth the money....

To answer the question as to how much time I'll spend on my hair, the answer is as little as possible.
I was thinking of layers, and my stylist is wonderful, so I'm sure she will help guide me. I still want to be able to pull it all back without anything falling in my face if possible, and still be able to braid for faire.
I hate having thin hair....
Thanks for all the help!!!
