If a great screenwriter approached you and said she wanted to write a movie, one that took place during Ren Faire, and a Wench was to be the main character....

1. What would the storyline be? :?:
2. Is the Wench a heroine or the villain? :D
3. Is it a murder mystery, spies, love story, ??
4. Which faire would be the best to tell the story around?
5. Name the male and female leads.
6. What should the movie say about Ren people? The Faire? :?:
7. Why would a movie set during a Ren Faire be interesting to audiences?
8. In 20 words or less, describe the entire movie as you see it.

Be creative, be mysterious, twist the plot and keep us guessing. Who knows, a screenwriter just might read your movie idea and like what she sees.

I would do the Wench version of Amelie: a quirky, weird, fun love story that is hilarious. ;) (You'll understand if you've seen it... if not, look in either the comedy or Foreign Films aisle at the vid store!!)

My creative juices are in the "slurped up completely by the straw" stage today. ;) LOL!

1. What would the storyline be?
Hmmm - that might come out with the other questions...
2. Is the Wench a heroine or the villain?
Both - at least one of each
3. Is it a murder mystery, spies, love story, ??
A murder mystery with a love story element
4. Which faire would be the best to tell the story around?
Anyone except MN Renjoke - I've heard good things about Bristol, KCRF
5. Name the male and female leads.
Eeks!
6. What should the movie say about Ren people? The Faire?
That we're people who can fit in anywhere, and due to our great imagination, we see things that others don't. Maybe we need a Lestrade - a bumbler who thinks he knows what he's doing - local cop guy... And that Faires are a place where the unreal becomes real.
7. Why would a movie set during a Ren Faire be interesting to audiences?
Almost everyone with any kind of imagination likes make believe. If there's action, swordfighting, etc, the guys will like it. A touch of romance, the gals will like it. Of course, I love a good sword fight myself.
8. In 20 words or less, describe the entire movie as you see it.
A body is found. Local Wenches track murderer. Local cops clueless. Murderer is to be discovered. Love triumphs, justice reigns.

*flexes fingers*

1. What would the storyline be?
Woman gets out of abusive marriage, and in a total depressed funk, goes to her first faire (after moving across country to escape) to fight the "mean reds" as Holly Golightly would say. Meets up with a totally wenchaliscious group of women and ends up working for Faire. Ex tracks her down across country year later, after wench transformation is complete. He expects to kick her ass, but now, armed with cleavage, fellow wenches, and some kickass rogues, the tables are now turned...

2. Is the Wench a heroine or the villain?
Heroine. Definately.

3. Is it a murder mystery, spies, love story,
Self discovery with a kick (in the pants.)

4. Which faire would be the best to tell the story around?
Stockwood. Northeast...I'm a New England gal at heart, what can I say!

5. Name the male and female leads.
Hmmm. suggestions? Russell Crowe as ex. For the wench...?????

6. What should the movie say about Ren people? The Faire?
Positive, imaginative, supportive community...you know...the truth!

7. Why would a movie set during a Ren Faire be interesting to audiences?
Same reason they come to the faire.

8. In 20 words or less, describe the entire movie as you see it.
Woman gets beat up, fed up, takes off, finds bliss, gets threatened, kicks ass, gets revenge, lives happily ever after...

Anyone got any wench suggestions for me?

DV hotline is slow today. This is GOOD!
