Just a quick question. I am planning on going to the North Carolina in Raleigh, NC on March 29th and 30th.
I was wondering if any of you have been to that one before and if any of you are planning on going to this one?
Also those that have been to it before, what did you think?
Thanks! :)

Some of us on this here forum actually /live/ in NC.. and have /every/ intention of being at NCRF, god willin' and the creek don't rise.
I know that Jayden, myself, Irmgard, Captain Kestrel, EJ, Alannah and Miss Rose are all planning on being there. As for other Local's wenches.. I /know/ Keltique, Dani and other wenches from Local 42 are planning on it. It's Local 96's regular begining to Faire season. :D
It's a little, tiny, sweet faire with some /great/ deals if you look around!!! To tell the truth you can go throuhg the /whole/ thing in about 2 hours (if you're not looking, talking, flirting etc) but then you'd miss all the GREAT shows!!!!

Thanks for the info. It sounds like the faire is going to be fun. I do hope that I get to meet you all. I am going to be bringing a friend with me that has never been to a faire before and showing her what one is like, and this is going to be my second out of state faire. I usually only attend the faires that are really close to me, until last year it was Rogersville. Now we have Smokey Mountain Ren. Faire. My first out of state was in Ohio, so I am really excited about this :cheer: . I am just hoping nothing happens between now and then. :mmph:
But all the same :bananada:

Ahoy, lass! Glad to hear ye'll be visitin' our little faire! MisRed pretty much covered all the salient points, but I wanted to add me own welcome. Be sure and find us - luckily, as she told you, that isn't very difficult!

There are indeed quite a few of the members of Local #42 attending NCRF in many capacities. Some of us are volunters that work the Faire, others are on cast, and others are coming to play - adding to the color and vibrancy of the attendees (Shelley. O'Cin, Rose, Laura, Zammis).
Look for Keltik, Chris, Lilly and Dani as part of Scottish Military Guilde. A couple more of us - Rach and Vyxen - will be working the Gallery, or Information areas - C'Cin, and some on cast - Loni, and. in the Reveler's Guilde - Celly and Ani (sorry don't have all the names!).
And there will be some fabulous performers there as well: Chris Davis as Ned Allyn, The Renaissance Man; Michele (of Local #42) with her commeida troupe: Teatro! di Pecorino Romano; Steve Denz as Croaker the Storyteller; and Darcy Nair who is an astounding musician on the hammered dulcimer.
We're also going to be meeting some new members of Local #42 while we're there as well (Diane).
If you're around on Sunday night some of us are heading over to Tir Na Nog for dinner. Email me if you'd like the particulars.
