Ok, I know this question has been asked before, but here it goes again.
I am looking for good, long lasting DARK dyes for chemise fabric. Any tips would make my day!

Dharma Trading http://www.dharmatrading.com is an awesome source for dyes. I have used them several times and have had great success with the dye recommended by the person who helped me. I used a navy blue, burgundy, green and black cotton dyes... it was a long process but the results fantastic, and long lasting (since I wash most of my cotton skirts in hot water in the washer). They also send the necessary dye recipe for different color variations. Remember to wash the fabric first in super hot water for best results!
If you are into silk dyeing they also carry a full line of supplies.

Thanks, I will use this next time.. this time I went with Rit, and a double dye. Washed it, dyed it, washed and dried it, then dyed it again. Lets see what happens.

Dharma has great dyes - I get all my wool dye from them - but if you are only doing 1 or 2 items, it's really cheaper to use Rit.
For a bunch of stuff, Rit is not economical, but for small things....plus, you get instant satisfaction. Much as I love Dharma, I hate the wait. :D
To keep the color, you might try adding vinegar to the next wash....or a couple of tablespoons of salt. Both of those seem to help bond the dye to the fabric. (Salt is recommended when you buy true madras)
I've not done a lot of fabric dyeing, so your mileage may vary, but I've talked to folks who do.....good luck!
