As far as the dates go, you may want to try a different weekend as the Glasgow Highland Games are the first weekend in June and that may have an impact on attendance. I think the second or last weeken would be the best bet. :) Just my two pence!

I will let everyone know about the Glasgow faire........maybe we can change the dates, nothing is set in stone yet anyway. Eventually it will be more than a one weekend faire but for now, to start out it will be just one weekend.

Hey I need some help finding a tape of bawdy wench songs......

and the lyrics to the blue ribbon scotsman song....

any help would be verrrrrrrrrrryyyy appreciated....

A Scotsman clad in kilt left the bar one evening fair,
‘N one could tell by the way he walked he’d drunk more than his share.
He stumbled ‘round till he could no longer keep his feet,
Then he stumbled off into the grass to sleep beside the street.

~chorus ~
Ring-ding-diddle de di de do
Ring ding diddle di o
Then he stumbled off into the grass to sleep beside the street.

About right then two young and lovely lasses happened by,
And one says to the other with a twinkle in her eye.
See yon sleeping Scotsman so strong and handsome built,
I wonder if it’s true what they don’t wear beneath their kilt.

~chorus ~
Ring-ding-diddle de di de do
Ring ding diddle di o
I wonder if it’s true what they don’t wear beneath their kilt.

So they crept up on that sleep Scot as quiet as could be.
‘N they lifted up his kilt ‘bout an inch so the could see.
And what did their wandering eyes see beneath his Scottish skirt?
Twas nothing more that god had graced him with upon his birth!

~chorus ~
Ring-ding-diddle de di de do
Ring ding diddle di o
Twas nothing more that god had graced him with upon his birth!

Well they marveled for a moment, and one said we must move on,
But let us leave a gift for our friend before me move along.
So as a gift they left a blue silk ribbon tied into a bow,
Around the bonnie star the Scottish kilt did lift and show.

Ring-ding-diddle de di de do
Ring ding diddle di o
Around the bonnie star the Scottish kilt did lift and show.

Well the Scotsman woke to natures call and stumbled towards the trees,
He lifted up his kilt and he gawks at what he sees
And in a surprised voice he cries to what’s before his eyes,
Aaa, Lad I don’t know where you’ve been but I see you’ve won first prize!

Ring-ding-diddle de di de do
Ring ding diddle di o
Aaa, Lad I don’t know where you’ve been but I see you’ve won first prize!

Here's a list of lyrics and some midi files to listen a bit. The ones I personally like are:

Roll Your Leg Over
Maids When Your Young
The Chandler's Wife

I'm sure you could get some other ideas if you post the request over in the "Hussies Hangout" forum.

Ah! I remember that quote: Behind every successful man there's an intelligent woman - or something like that! :rotfl:

So glad to know there is *someone* around here doing all the hard work! I will definitely keep you in mind when I'm in need of some info quickly - certainly appreciated!

[now, go make Eric share his treats & bribes with you cuz you earned them! :smooch:]

Are we talking about the Kentucky Celtic Festival and Highland Games I got off of www.renfaire.com ? It says there's going to be one there October 10th-12th. Is it another Faire or the one talked about here? Just wondering because it's located in Hopkinsville. :meow:
