So there seem to be many bellydance fitness DVDs out there. Who can recommend a good one?

Oh! Veena and Neena Present Bellydaning for Beginers
That's a fun one, it's has two sections basic moves, and a cardio workout, they are both enjoyable workouts. :D Hope that helps

I hope so too-- I just made a mad run to Garland of Letters (local FABULOUS New Age shop) and bought that very one. Thanks very much, and welcome, too!
But I'm still open to suggestion, and willing to enlarge my library. And I want to hear opinions. Anyone else? Are the Goddess Workouts good?

A friend lent me one of the Goddess ones - it kicked my booty (or rather, my ab muscles!). The two dogs and the cat were highly entertained, I think, at my attempts at imitating the video! :D

I have some of the veena and nina videos. I enjoy them. Here is a site that rates different belly dance videos. This is also an awesome site for people who are really into belly dance!

I have all the Goddess Workout DVD's. To be honest, I asked for them as a Christmas gift and still have yet to try any but the first DVD.
I love the one I've tried though. The music is great (they sell the music CD's too). I don't know how hard I would consider it. It was a lot of fun and some of the moves I did feel it working but it wasn't like I was worn out afterwards.
My suggestion would be to borrow or rent one if possible and see what you think before buying any.

Neena and Veena rock!
I have their whole set of the bellydance workout tapes, AND their set on mystical dance (or whatever it's called)
If you do Neena and Veena properly, it'll kick your butt. The whole trick is to keep your muscles engaged.
The only downside? Their ribs stick out like pieces of frozen chicken breast. It gets distracting!!
For anybody who's also looking for other belly-dancing tapes, I would suggest checking out the tapes for sale from Fat Chance Belly Dance (www.fcbd.com) They're more tribal, whereas Neena and Veena are more Egyptian/cabaret style. Either way, you'll look damned sexy doing it!
Anotehr thing you might want to try, Hula for Health and Fitness.
And last but not least, whatever you do, do NOT by the Learn To Belly Dance by Jessica Rabbit (yes, that's her REAL NAME.) She's awful, doesn't follow through with the music, her outfits are atrocious, and the video quality is very poor.
That's my two cents!

Those are the ones I have! Love em!! My husband's Aunt is a Belly Dance Instructor and she suggested those since her classes are kinda far from me. :) I love em!

I've got the first Fitness Veena and Neena, and their whole dancing for fun set, and they rock. ^_^ I found that when I combined the two videos a little, it's easier to figure out how to do the moves. (Though that head slide thing still eludes me.)
