Okay, what I wanna know is...why does every thread seem to die out RIGHT AFTER I POST TO IT?
Am I cursed? What gives???
Oh ,and happy day for me, I just found out that they're extending the contract! So another 6 months of lording over my little boys in a firm but loving manner. Heh. :D
I am so happy I could POP!
Now, if only I win the Lottery this weekend...the jackpot, I mean. I keep winning the lottery in bits and pieces. ($4 per ticket so far, go me!) I wanna win the whole shebang! Then I can do nice things like start scholarship funds and help up-and-coming local bands get their start.
See, I'm wierd, all my life what i wanted to be was a philanthropist. I am happiest when helping others or giving stuff away.
Yay for babbling...
They extended the contract! They extended the contract! Oh joy of employment for another six months! *dancing and swinging around a pole a la The Sound of Music*

Well, if I may, from my point of view, a post like this doesn't really require a response.
There's no real question to be answered, no guild business to be addressed, not even anything to commiserate with you with. It's just commentary. ;)
Not all posts will end up requiring responses.
But stuff like this, I tend to put in my Live Journal and leave the guild boards for guild business or to notify other Wenches of something specific and significant happening in my life that I think they might want to know about (like a death or birth, stuff like that...)

I have had very bad experiences with Live Journal, ergo I do not post there anymore. As with most chat boards, eventually something happens to ruin what would otherwise be the niftiness of posting.
I shall keep it to myself from here on out.

I see nothing wrong with what you posted. I'm happy for you that your contract was extended.
I guess some of us (myself, included) are just jaded from some who post only to raise their post number.
I too sawa a phase where threads just died after I posted, I actually had gotten a complex because of it, but then realized that maybe I was coming in at the end of lifespan of the thread. All threads must die sometime.
Welcome, to our madness. Looking forward to meeting you opening weekend.
As for LJ. Give it a go. I love it. Most of my posts are marked Friends only, just so I can control who sees what.

When this happens to me, I always assume it's because my thoughts are just so profound there is little left for anyone else to add on the subject!!!

No no.. don't misunderstand.....
Everyone handles the boards differently. Some people like to post about every teeny tiny morsel of their lives here...some don't. And like Caitriona said, there are those who post just to hike their post count (and no, you're not one of those, btw).
So, please...post what you like. I've also had posts where no one's responded -- I like DreaBeth's stance on it... :)
I guess my question for you is: What's the nature of the contract you're talking about? What do you do? (and congrats, btw).

Yay Dragonfly!! I'm glad your source of income has not died! :singdanc:
I know nothing about live journals... never seen one, don't know how to start one and I'm really bad at following instructions... I'm not as bad as I think I am... but still... I know what they are because I've heard Ysobelle talk about them, but I remain ignorate and without first hand experience...
hey! if I started a live journal... I could babble and rant about bad neurologists and not take up valuable space... on... line... wait a minute... uhhhhmmmm... :?

Oh, we can corrupt you to the ways of LJ. www.livejournal.com is the path to the introspective side. I think my username is fairly obvious (Ysobelle, in case you're still asleep). Many of us have them-- take a look and see what you think.

Oh, I already have a Live Journal, just rediscovered it the other day.
My ex husband's hussy was on my friends list and posted lots of nasty things in there about how I was a psycho, and I was over-sentimental, and that all I'd ever done was screw up his life, soo.....yeah, I'm jaded. *chuckle* Especially since SHE is the hose-beast, not I...
Um...to everyone who thought they might see me on opening weekend of PARF, Hells yeah!! I'll be there with, uh....damnit...*looks around to see where her bells went* Okay, fine, I'll just have a lot of change in my pocket so I jingle!
I don't have a full outfit, though. :( At least not one that I fit in. I guess I could attempt my giant blue wedding gown of doom....*whimper* I'm not that fat anymore, though...
And thank you to everyone who reassured me. I had this thing where I would go in to chat rooms a few years back and the room would just CLEAR OUT. That made me completely neurotic. It's wierd how even online, you can pick up o nthe energy of a person!
Also...I am supervisor for the Provider Inquiry line. I LOVE my team, they're an awesome group of guys and 2 other gals. (11 of us total.) I do like the job because I like helping folks out, and usually when I get called to the phones, it's to fix a MAJOR problem so I always feel super-accomplished.
I normally don't share stuff like that...'cause frankly, you all don't need to know I accidentally closed my fingers in the car door or clothes-lined myself on a low doorway or whatever. But this was unusual good fortune.
Hey, if I win the lottery, I'll buy a round of drinks for all the wenches the opening weekend of PARF! (So now you're all gonna root for me, right?
Okay...I'm excited, though bodice-less. This is gonna be the best faire season ever! :rotfl: <-that's my happy dance
