To recap - I'm bringing the Hubby unit and 4 friends from Colorado, and we will be adding 2 new Rennied local to KC, over Labor Day weekend.

Wish we could be there that weekend! We've got everything planned for Last Weekend at this point. Staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Bonner Springs.

This is of course, unless we hit the lotto!! Then we'll be there with bells on!! :D

I mean privateers. :haloslip: I'll be the one in the Scottish thistle Pendragon bodice and the black w/ sliver lame skull and crossbones bloomers on. If anyone sees me come up and grab me and introduce yourselves to me. My crewmate and I will be on the lookout for a new cabin boy. Our captain won't share the one we've got.

Ok, it took forever but I FINALLY got the confirmed details....

For Labor Day Weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights at the Wyndham Garden Hotel - Overland Park we have a room rate of $49/night. Make reservations under the group name IWG. If you have any problems, either PM or email me!

OK - If I find out post-the-fact that IWG, IBRSC or other Lunde guild members have been to KCRF and don't come by to see our MentalPause show on the Seafarers Beergarden Stage in the Wharf area - there will be heck to pay! :lol:

We appear five times daily on the hour beginning at noon in our own show, once at the Feast of Fooles sometime between 11 a.m. and noon at the new feast venue and once again at that venue at 5 p.m. where we host the Royal Cigar Society Smoker show.

We've set up a green room of sorts behind the "pub" stage (beergarden) and would be happy to host visiting guild members there as a sort of unofficial hostel.

Totally serious. We've been asked to be the "all fencing, all the time" channel, and we can't go all day all out by ourselves-- we'd get tired out and somebody would get hurt. (Thank the weather gods it's not going to be HOT HOT HOT as is traditional!) So we're going to try to give as many lessons as possible to keep the activity up without killing ourselves. We've got loaner gear available, so you don't have to bring anything. All we request is that you come down sober (preferably before you've done any drinking at all).

Only one question: do you prefer to stab people in the stomach or bash them over the head?

My rogue affiliate and I won’t be able to make it. We are just too broke and I just found out that TWU isn’t letting off for Labor Day. :( Maybe next year, and there is still TRF to look forward to! :D

Piffle...I've had my bags packed except for shampoo, makeup and the like for 2 weeks now. I forgot stuff (i.e. my bodice! GASP!!) when my "crew" went to Sedalia, so this time I'm making sure I don't forget ANYTHING!

How about picking a time and place for the visiting wenches to meet? I think the noon show for MentalPause at the Seafarers Beergarden Stage would be a great place to start. That way we can lend support to one of our sister wenches and have fun as a group.

I can't make the noon show, as a visiting performer I have to walk in the parade. Which takes place about noon or so. UGH! But hopefully I can meet up with you all at a different time. I'll be with a possible new member. She swears I'm gonna corrupt her :wink: BTW...Does KCRF have a hostel?

We don't have a hostel :( but the Baroness and her hot (flash) wenches have tried to set themselves up a green room behind their stage--which she has offered as a temporary hostel.
I always have water and ice at my booth, so please, any wench in need come by there!

We're game for just about anything. We vote for the 1:00 meeting time. The after hours sounds great, but would need to follow someone to the restaurant, as we don't know the area. A specific time to leave/meet at the restaurant would probably be a good idea too.

I'll make a map to the restaurant, and if we can all figure out if you want Saturday night or Sunday night, we can go from there. Faire closes at 7, so it would be probably 7:45 or 8 for me to get there--those of you just playing would have more time :)

As this will be my last entry before heading up to KC let's do daBaroness' 1:00 show. That seems to be an appropriate time for everyone. As for the BBQ, 8:00 on either evening will be good for me. I'll contact Myrmaid on Saturday for details.

Well, we're doing last minute arrangements as usual! Will be hitting the hay early due to a 4AM start for the long drive!! Can't wait to see everyone!!

We're only going to be there Saturday, unfortunately, due to business, but will pack in as much fun as we can!!
