Good Morning!!!
I just want to let everyone know that we had a great weekend!!!
We sold 4 of the big roses for a total of $40
As for the rose pins - We sold $80 dollars of those as well.
Our grand total for the weekend was $140 dollars.

Woohoo! You ladies are off to a great start!
I bought one of the big roses when I signed the guest book this past weekend but forgot about the pins (Stacy & Chad would slap me for that one). If I don't reach for one when I visit this weekend, you have my permission to slap me upside the head to remind me!

Where are the materials for the small roses? Betty wants to teach Wenches who couldn't make the meeting how to put them together, and we both think it'd be great to have our Wenches actually MAKING the roses in the garden. Faire'll love it, too.
Can we get the rest of the supplies for this weekend?

Muffin has them. As our stock was pretty much depleted from this past weekend. SHe will be making more during this week.
It's my understanding that she'll bring them in with her on Saturday, with the new stock.
While I think it's wonderful that Muffin has jumped in like this, I know that several wenches have felt left out of the rose making process since they couldn't make the 2 sessions due to work, family, medical, etc. I was under the impression that this would be an activity in the garden so that people could see it being done and show our support of the charities. That's what I understood from conversations that I had in the past and from what was discussed this last weekend. Plus the fact that we are getting the faire behind us in this, it would be fabu for photo ops to have some of the wenches making them in the garden. So may I request that she leave some unmade so that wenches may learn the process and contribute to our fundraising process itself.

Betty -
That is fine. I understand that others want to help. But we need more stock for next weekend. She currently has the time to get them done during the week. Some of you have enough going on with trying to get the garden back together and recovering.
Muffin will be back this Saturday along with Chad and Stacy from MD and is bringing the stock back with her.
Leave some unmade? With all of the leather we have, we have enough to make alot of roses, I don't remember the exact number at the moment. I don't think leaving some unmade will be an issue. We cut out 2 hides of each color. I think we have enough for about 160 now that I do the math.
We also need to get the favors fixed. Will they be back at site this weekend too?

Favors were on site this last weekend, but I guess we had forgot all about them. I also have the paint for 'em. The box was sent back to me that I had sent to Leah's amrked "refused delivery. " I guess it was good it made it back. So now we need to let every know about busy hands for this weekend. I will not be on site Sat until after 4, but Scott will be there and I will let him know where they are then. I must commend Muffin for all her help with this. She rocks with the fact she is willing to help our local get this fundraiser off the ground.

That's odd. I mean, the boys were home, I'd alerted them to expect a package.
When I asked them each day if there had been a delivery, they said no.
Bloody strange.
I'm glad they made it back to you, babe. ;)

Put me in for the rose making Sat. I'd be glad to help out. I'm one to have my hands busy while I sit and chat with you all. But like others I'll need to have some direction.

If the favors don't get done this weekend, send 'em home with me on Sunday and I'll work on them at home and bring them back. I sort of need something mindless to do at the moment as a diversion. :?
Of course if I am overwhelmed with info for the wench book. . . :D

I would like to volunteer my services for a bit while I am there. I am not sure how my schedule will be, but I would like to contribute.. As a Woman, A wench, and a Visiting Madame. ;)

Just be advised that putting the roses together really requires a table of some sort. Putting the things on your lap, especially with the glue used, isn't advisable. That glue gets on your garb and it ain't comin' out.
Actually putting them together on site -- this thread's the first I've heard of that, btw.

Should we bring some kind of lap boards? Or are there small pieces of plywood around site we could use to set up a temp table in the garden area? I could bring some up and maybe some milk crates or something to balance it on. Let me know
