Due to economic circumstances, I'm not going to make MDRF at ALL this year unless there is a rich person in my family (and there isn't :irked: ) that leaves me their fortune.
:sorry: :tantrum: :sorry:

So are you bringing someone special with you? :)

Cyd (who really needs to discuss embroidery with the both of you...)

Unknown. I hope so, and space is arranged for the weekend (could we arrange space with you for early in the week a night or two? Might make for excellent embroidery chat time.). It all depends on whether Nan has a job that will allow for it. If she stays where she is - no problem. (Well, except for the fact she's in Michigan!) If she gets something out here before then, that's about when we'll know.

But I'm coming at any rate, so we can still discuss embroidery. I have at least a rough idea of what she wants.

Not a problem, honey. Any time! :)

Wanna meet the Local Ladies? Watch for the Meet n Greets!

There will be one this weekend at NOON at the Dragon Inn.

To get to the Inn:
1. Go through Gate. Hug Stupina.
2. Walk past the Information Booth, dancing (wave to Cyd and Joe if they're there, but keep going!), and everything else. (You will have to work past it all again to get out, so you will be able to shop later.)
3. Watch for a LARGE break in the booths to the right. Go that way. Keep ignoring shops.
4. Walk to the back of the stage in front of you. Aim for the jousting arena (still in front of you). Walk past it on the left.
5. To your immediate left is Dan the Master Joyner--our current Hostel. There is no room for stuff, sorry.
6. Immediately in front of you is the Dragon--if it is cordoned off for a wedding, walk down to the Tail--down the hill. Hopefully the wonderful tenor still works there. (Get there early enough in the day and he's sometimes singinf show tunes before the crowd gets big)

I only live three miles from dulles, hon... and if she's getting a place to stay over here, it may just be that more convenient... And cheaper to boot! :)

As usual, ladies, I'm trying to do this trip on the cheap, especially as I hope to include a visit to a certain Elf in the week following the Faire. (Yeah, I know - "cheap" and "Elf's home city" do not belong in the same thought. Anyway.) This is why I seek crash space with friends (again), not hotel space. Now then. If I/we fly into Dulles, perhaps we can just stay with Cyd? or perhaps Cyd could come up with some way of getting us transferred to justLori for the weekend? or justLori could come up with some way of getting us up to her place for the weekend? or... ?

I'll be honest here - yeah, Dulles is kinda out of the way of MDRF, but FlyI is much more convenient to me at home and to Elf than is Southwest, and FlyI is cheaper.

Yah yah, I know...but it's still Dulles...

Josie, we'll complete the handoff, no worries. Cyd has to come to faire on that Saturday anyway...shoot, Cyd, if you and Joe want to come up on Friday night, we can sleep four in actual beds now--not including my bed.

Cyd, Josie, we can finalize as the season draws to a close. Right now, I can't wait for ti to open! :bananada:

*chuckle* Dulles ain't so bad, honey... Really! :)

We'll get our acts together for all of this, really... :)

Right now... I still have to finish my garb for tomorrow, and make sure I've got everything I need, and make sure we've got stuff for sleeping accomodations (we're not going home), and make sure I don't leave something stupid behind... Oh, and I want to start that new woodworking project, and...

Shoot. I never have enough time, I swear. ;)

My vacation starts Thursday, October 21st, I'll fly out then. Need to firm up the other end of my vacation before I can book flights, though. I'll keep you both updated! :D
