OK, for the life of me I cannot find my copy of Dracula. Here's the question: according to the actual text of Dracula, does Mina Harker ever turn into a vampire.

I can recall that she and Dracula had some sort of 'mind link' because when she was under hypnosis, she could hear/see things that Dracula was seeing. I cannot recall if she ever sprouted fangs and such.

Can you help.....

I don't think she did... I think they destroyed Vlad in the nick of time... of course, it's been a while...

I couldn't remember. But I love SparkNotes:

Mina Murray
Mina Murray is the ultimate Victorian woman. ... Unlike Lucy, she is not most noteworthy for her physical beauty, which spares Mina her friend’s fate of being transformed into a voluptuous she-devil.

Mina’s sexuality remains enigmatic throughout the whole of Dracula. ... Stoker creates suspense about whether Mina, like Lucy, will be lost. ...

Thanks you two. Sounds like from Sparkelnotes, she has some vamp-like qualities (ie: the mind link and the comunion wafer burning her) she never really goes full tilt.

I'm going to a party this weekend, one of the 'host a murder mystery' type things. For this one, you have to dress as your favorite horror novel character. Figured Mina would be well known enough but there won't be 12 of her at the party.

Thanks Again!!! :D

Wasn't she the one that attacks the baby and has to be fended off by Van Helsing just after he shows up? She had fangs at stuff. VH uses a cross to ward her off. It's been awhile for me too.

Nope, that's Lucy. The children of the area start telling tales of a "blufor lady" who they meet while sleep walking. Van Helsing, Arthur (Lucy's fiance), the American (I forget his name) go to the cemetary where they see Lucy carrying a sleeping child. VH uses the cross and Lucy high tales it back to her coffin where the men bring about her 'true death'.

Not a problem darlink! I have not read the book in quite some time either, hence my original question.

There's just so many versions and interpretations of the Dracula story out there, one tends to forget what Stoker actually wrote.
