The God of Small Things

I haven't actually read the book yet, but I am absolutely fascinated by the story of the author.

Has anybody read it, and can anybody give an opinion?
Also, what else of hers is good?

I'm gonna try this again, because I find it hard to believe an intelligent group of ladies such as yourselves haven't snagged this book...

The author is Arundhati Roy (sp?), I believe I forgot to mention that in the previous post...
