This was sent to me, & I'm trying to get the word out. I know we have lots of events coming up, but if/when you have time, please consider this:
Calling all Va Renaissance Volunteers!
I am in need of contact people for any organizations you are in or have
affiliation with that would like to come join the fun at the Faire! Any
individuals you know who would like to come out is also appreciated - have them contact me at [email protected]
There will be a quick training session at the beginning of the day at the
Military Encampment for anyone who hasn't made the rehearsals. This will
include; Safety, Patron Interaction, Cast Interaction and your duty for the
day. Please come early for the 8:30am training as we don't really want to
make anyone wait for a chance to be trained before we can let them do
anything.
When you come, tell the person at the gate that you are a volunteer and
that you were told to report to the Military Encampment (It should be in
sight of the gate) Come find me or Mike Steen (The Captain) - If we're both off singing sea shanties (We're both in the singing group The Dogwatch (www.thedogwatch.com )) then see whomever we left in command of the Military Encampment.
