I'll be visiting Southern California and RPFS for opening day (April 16).

Hope to meet many of the wenches (and rogues) of Local 52!

Anyone else planning to be there that day?

I always wanted to go to that one, but when I was stationed in California it was the northern one I went to. It was a quiet type of faire, but had lots of places to sit down, to eat, to watch plays, etc. I liked it. It was my first fair I ever went to. :) Ah, memories. Now I'm back in Indiana, where I'm just getting into the faires around the area.

I saw that Otisco is closer to the Kentucky border ... but if you're ever travelling towards Bristol (TinkerWench and Eric are visiting the last weekend), we'd love to have you there.

As for RFPS, I found that a membership to FOF was only a little more than a single ticket to the Faire, so I'll have an extra ticket for RFPS and an extra ticket for BRF for barter, plus a place to hang out and store goodies.

Look for a wench you haven't seen before in leaf green and rose skirts, green boots, and a gray/white rose-patterned bodice. I'll be wearing my pin, too!

Otisco isn't really close to the border, unless you drive 45 minutes to a bridge in one way, or a hour in another direction! It's the country area.
As for a wench I've not seen before... physically seen... that's a lot! :D But I'll see you if I can!

I checked in with Kevin, no one else had checked in... Met some wenches that were new to the area and/or Local... Took in a lot of shows, played with Puritans, harassed some Queen's Guard type people... Went home at 5pm.

Great Opening Day! Will have to get used to new Shire. Nice to actually have water we can see and trees and shade. Was so wonderful to see old friends and missed a few vendors. But we have a Faire so that is good. Also the commute is so much closer-don't miss the drive at all.

sadly I probably wont be going until the 2nd to last week of may. Finals are eating me up. Hopefully some of the local 52 gals will be there. I woudl love to meet you

Dian-I wont be there next weekend but every other one. Will you be there any other weekends?. My daughterr might come down. I know she would love to talk "shop". She is now on the Crisis Negotiation Team. I have the picture of both of you and your "Charlie Angels" pose in garb at Long Beach Faire on my mantle :rotfl:

Faire is just a few short miles from me, so I will try to be there as often as work allows. I would love to see your daughter again. Is your picture of she and I digital by chance? Somehow, the one I had got deleted when I changed computers. (Along with several other wonderful pics-sniff) I believe I will be there Sat. the 29th, and I will definately be there if Vash comes down! Wow , I feel so honored to be on your mantle (grin)

I have been a member for about 5 yrs now, and I still consider myself new. Because I work weekends I don't get out much, and I have only been in one wench walk! I will be there this weekend with my daughter (she is 7) We will both be in our pirate gear, so look for the really cute lil blond that is wearing Johnny Depp eyeliner :wink: She is much easier to spot than me,. Oh, and we will be there on Sunday.

When does this faire end? I'm from Tucson, AZ (a new wench), and might be able to make it out. Technically, I'm a member of the local 35 chapter, but am somewhat closer to southern CA than most of the 35 members are. Hopefully, I'll be able to meet some of them soon, but I'd love to make it to the southern CA faire if my work schedule allows (I had the time of my life at the AZ faire.) It'd be fun to meet up with some other wenches--I'd love to go on a wench walk if I can make it.

We have this weekend and next weekend (5/22) left. Normally we go to the 3 day weekend but because of our new home and the commitments they already had we are short a week. Next weekend will be fun: Blue Ribbon Sunday, the annual Memorial Service , Faire Brat Day plus the normal fun things that happen at Faire. Make sure you come to the Friends of Faire Garden and say hello
