View Full Version : I'm FINALLY official!

Huzzah!!! My pin and packet have arrived and I am finally officially a member of this great sisterhood. I have already made so many good friends through the guild and I am looking forward to making many more. My home faire is Bristol (WI) but one of my hobbies has become visiting as many other faires as I can.
Up until last summer I was a key volunteer for the Girl Scouts. I am a lifetime member and have several dear friends from my time with them. I also give partial credit to that organization for the woman I am today. When I made the decision to end my volunteer activities with them I told my friends I was getting involved with the International Wenches Guild because "the uniforms are better and you can drink while wearing your pin".
Thank you all for the friendship and love you bestow on your sister Wenches.

BTW, I'm still an active volunteer in Girl Scouts AND Boy Scouts. For the oldest daughter's 18th birthday present from me she got her Girl Scout Lifetime Membership and her IWG Pin. I thought at first there might be some bit of illogicalness (not the word I want but I can't think of it) of that juxtaposition (right, I can think of THAT one), but I believe the two DO go together. Girl Scouts is supposed to take girl children and turn them into responsible, capable, intelligent, confident, spiritual (in whatever form and tolerant of all), adult women -- can you think of a better definition of "wench" as we practice it?

Congrats there lady. Oh sure call everyone but me. Fine. See if I get you home from the next S&B. LOL. Now that you are official, we can have our first official ale at Bristol this summer. Or earlier.. Congrats.
