Hmmmm, I should think that, for me, "Secular Humanist" or "Nontheist" should have been #1, but I can see how "Unitarian Universalism" made 100%. It's beliefs list seems to be very generalized so as to cover almost anything on the less religious side of the spectrum. "Universal" indeed.

How I scored 47% on "Mormons"... your guess is as good as mine.

I like how I scored 0% on nine of the religions. Tells me I'm doing something right. :)

I'd have thought that Atheist (it is interesting as the Nontheist link brings you to Atheist explanation) would have been first, but I think that they are giving compassion and a desire for betterment of the human condition more points in the other religions. I think that the Unitarians care more for numbers than they do the conviction of the beliefs. They want you in their community! Secular Humanists I kind of like, but most I've seen are fairly egalitarian in their writings, so I don't think so. I don't get the rest of the percentages, don't the christian protestants believe in God? How 'bout the Quakers? Or the Christian Scientists? I don't and answered negatively on all questions and that still meant that I was more Quaker than Atheist? I think this test is askew. And looking on it, it seems like the folks making are reasonably serious in their efforts to sell you something, er to help you find out out what you are so they can help you with materials that will enhance your understanding of your beliefs (gag!).

As stated by others, I don't know about most of these groups.
I DO know I was raised in a home that "sometimes" practiced the Jewish faith; as I saw it, more for the respect to my grandparents than anything else. (we would celebrate the holidays but that was about the extent)
I went to church with my friends, celebrated Christian holidays with them and eventually, celebrated them in my families home. I think it was more for the celebratory factor than the relgion itself.
My first husband was Roman Catholic & my second husband is Protestant.
I do not, myself believe in any ONE religion. I believe there is a higher power (not necessarily a "GOD") and basically keep my beliefs in my own way. I neither share nor force my will upon anyone else.

I do not, myself believe in any ONE religion. I believe there is a higher power (not necessarily a "GOD") and basically keep my beliefs in my own way. I neither share nor force my will upon anyone else.

I was raised Roman Catholic, strictly. There was no choice about going to church on Sunday, etc. When I started dating my second ex, my Grandma asked what religion he was, and in the next breath said "what does it matter, the 1st was Catholic and look what he did to her." Things loosened up quite a bit then. But they were still Catholic. My cousin took the major step of converting to her husbands religion and you'd think the world was ending. I think that is what has kept me from openly saying that I'm a Wiccan.

My folks have mellowed some. If they are traveling and can't find a Catholic church they'll go to one of the others like Lutheran, Episcopalian, Presbytarian, Protestant. Mom has actually said all that matters is that she went to church. Tho they have said that no matter what, I will always be Catholic. :sigh:

I'm like you, I don't share my beliefs nor do I impose them or try to convert anyone to my way of believing. Well, except for the fact that there IS a Santa Claus!!! :rotfl:

Were my results ever a surprise! Especially for someone who loves Jesus and who freely and openly acknowledges Himself has the Son of God and as my Savior, something that would be counter to Orthodox Judaism. As a feminist, I could never fit in with the Mormon faith. Isalm would have a barbecue with me as the main event for being a lesbian and a transsexual.

One thing I noticed while taking this "test" is that many of the questions were mostly one dimensional. Unlike most tests of this nature, this test did allow for the usual black and white answers to be modulated in shades of gray, but with no depth. Many of the issues should have been addressed multidimensionally. Examples would include whether Dieties would ever have a human avatar. The choices were too one dimensional. It was if the word "sometimes" didn't exist. I felt I was being forced to choose one that merely came close to my beliefs. The question regarding monotheism vs trinitarism (is that a word?) does not allow for my belief that God and Jesus are separate entities but that the Holy Spirit, which I feel exists, is actually the power of God, not a separate entity. Most of all, the test seemed to leave out the concept of having faith in a concept even though there may not be full understanding.

Tests like these remind me of the myth of "one size fits all." Even moderating it to "one size fits most" doesn't seem to work based on the conflicting results so many of us seem to be having.

Sorry about the rant but my B.S. (you can take that where ever you want) just reared its ugly head.
