OMG... I'd forgotten about the 'look up' bit from this weekend!!
It kinda sprinkled a bit on Sunday before the kiss... So, we're out by the maypole, chatting, the Rogues are giving their salute/toast/what have you to the Rats..... sprinkle sprinkle... my hands go out, universal sign of 'is that rain?' and what do I do? Look up. "Hey, you know that it's raining?" still looking up.
someone "Yes, it's raining and what does the ditz do?"
I'm busy looking up at the trees as the sprinkles are coming down... "hey! it's raining!!" with happiness and joy as I start to dance around and try to catch rain on my tongue...

Does anyone know why the Stockwood Ren Faire near Woodstock isn't happening this year? That's one of our faves - starts out the Faire season in upstate NY the right way, and keeps us going until Sterling and NYRF. It's also small and intimate, which is a nice change from the larger faires.
And I have new garb I want to wear. Gold silk chemise and skirt, with red velvet overdress. Something about the words "silk" and "velvet" that brings out the goose pimples.

oh! mundane and somewhat uninteresting news, took a bit but the mower's workin now. had to de-rust the spark plug and clean the dickens out of it, but it works. woohoo, the mini's can mow the lawn now.
and on to more interesting news....mini #2 got his cast yesterday, one of the bones in his forearm had shifted in the last ten days, since he got the splint, so the doc had to re-manipulate it into a more agreeable position (#2 was a trooper, it hurt like hell but he dealt with it), and then wrap the cast on, molding it to keep the bones in place (which also hurt like hell for the lil guy). but it's on now, and we'll have to take him back in a week to see how the bones are healing.
Lady Sarah
04-29-2005, 08:54 AM
hmmmmmmmm well I'm glad to hear the kidlet trooped it out! smooches to him! So? is it a cool cast or blah?
(ps - are you gonna change the "Two Fangorns" thingie since you've now got three?)

Artos O'Dalriada
04-29-2005, 09:14 AM
he's got a black cast, we're discussing airbrushing some flames on it for him, he's all for that idea. it sucked even havin to watch the doc yanking and pressing on his forearm, tears streamin down the poor kid's face, every now and then a yelp cause it really hurt.....i wasn't sure if phee or i were gonna hit the doc first.
i kinda like the 2 fangorns personally sawah, but i'll think about it :P:P

Quite unneccesary... I'll admit that Taranach knows not what D.O.V.E.S. stands for.. e'en I don't.. All he *did* do was make a play on words (HAWKS vs. DOVES). Not having any idea what the acronym indicates.. or even what the rules of the game were, it was nothing but his attempt to join in the fun.

I just want... Just want.... (..."and NO singing!") -oops- sorry.. Python flashback...
Just want some appropriate verse!
She rests..
cupped lightly in my hand-
gentle weight both relaxing and inspiring.
I feel her sharing my own body’s warmth
even with my eyes closed I can feel her every atom, sense each limit and boundary,
(as if my own awareness extends beyond my own reach and into hers)
familiar presence at my side...
Eager arms like wings spread to grasp, to catch, to direct;
slender yet solid, nimble and responsive
capable of speed and agility beyond the eye’s ability to capture.
Is it my ears or just my mind that hears her whispered “Let’s Dance..”?
unthought, unplanned, my fingers curl tighter ‘round her
as pulse speeds and mind recedes and I’m again caught up in her whirlwind.
slave to the moment. slave to the movement.
breath and balance..
united briefly (for an eternal moment) until...
cupped lightly in my hand-

Just breathe babycakes. That's all there is to it. What's the worst that can happen, you won't get the job? :grouphug: I'll think good thoughts in between wishing I'd died at the lunch table and bouncing in pent up frustration at my momentary exile from Faire.
Tankies Sis.. :grouphug: Truly - Honestly appreciate all the good thoughts I can muster.. if this one turns out to be as good as it sounds.. it could be "that career job" I've been hunting for.. and although this last one was nice.. had they offered me full-time hire on.. I'm not sure I would have accepted it - based on the 3 weeks I was there on the contract assignment.
Again.. Thanks... I really need things to turn around here.. and fast!
**Edit**
Ok.. off to the shower so I can go turn in my badge - get my time-card.. and go see Dr. Idiot.. about this knee..
8) Thanks for the words of support Laurel... *big hugs* .. mucho appreciated!!!
Have a good afternoon everyone :grouphug: all around...

Thy protectiveness & loyalty do you credit, Alpha...
The unintentional gaffe is over.. and the only ones preserving the conflict are the ones spoiling for a fight. if you or anyone wants or feels owed an apology, then get off the guy's back long enough for him to do so..
As Po has so artfully put it... there never was any "gaffe" intended to any of the fine ladies on the board... I wouldst defend the honor of any one of them to the last drop of my blood were it necessary.
For those that took the scrambled context of my words as offense, I sincerely apologise and send forth bouquets of flowers and chocolates and bottles of fine mead to each.

The defense of a man's pride should never come at even the slightest hint of degradation to a woman's honor. Unintentional as it may have been, my brand of play and lack of knowledge has tainted my presence. Fare thee well and anon. I wish no more harm or offense to befall.

Going back to an earlier post:

Ahh.. but *is* it? Mayhaps the author wished to remain ambiguous? or to mesh more than one layer of meaning?
hmmmm....
My first thought was of a breast cupped lightly in a lovers hand. Definitely, more than one layer of meaning. No Cliff notes needed here!

And one good thought leads to another - - - did anyone else try Ambar's honey dust recipe?
Magsie - other words that I find evocative: creamy, sultry, piercing blue (as in eyes!), growl, libidinous, misty, heathered, anon, fracas, and vicissitudes. (BTW, "vicissitudes" is my personal test for drunkenness - if you can say it without slurring, you aren't drunk.)

Hi everyone. Just stopping by long enough to catch my breath. It is sunny and warm up here. The town I am living in is having the Tree Planting Festival this weekend. I will be heading out to the park soon for the rest of it. The parade was something. I managed to come home with candy & other goodies. I figured if the stuff hit me , it was mine. The candy is going to my son. The doll, I guess I will have to find a little girl who needs one.
Well off to the park for the carnival and the concert this evening. Have a good weekend everybody

:rotfl: Hehehe... Oh -- this is the life... having men drop to their knees - calling you "My Queen" .. kissing your hand, wrist, arm, shoulder, (dot... dot... dot...) 8)
I'm kind of taking the Queen from - Neverending Story, The Dark Crystal, and Willow -- and blending in a bit of Morgan from Cutthroat Island.. sprinkling all that with a bit of Cap'n Jack Sparrow & Barbosa from Pirates of the Carribean.
..........Have I by chance mentioned - Its good to be the Queen?
Just Beware the Sheriff!
Beware? Beware ye say? Heh! M'dear Sheriff.. my travels would not be complete ere' I not were able to tantilize and taunt thee!
