New Catskill MTN Faire

I saw there is a new faire starting in Cairo, NY on August 13-14 th this year.
Has anyone heard any thing about it? It hought maybe some of the vendors or actors may know something about it.

Black Jacks & Blarney are playing there...I don't know who else. I don't think the organizers are too experienced...they're running against NYRF, Sterling & PARF...alot of the same talent and paytrons. :?

I talked with the organisers in January and the original date had been in June or so. I think reality crashed in on them when they realized you can't plan a faire in 5 months. I was going to vend there, but when they moved the date, I realized I couldn't.

Yes my friend (who lives in Cairo) and I tried to get a hold of them to help out in the planning and possibly help get some combat together. They never returned our calls and I guess thay have folks from CTRF helping them out. I am assuming that is where the pics are from that are on the website because this is their first year and I know sure as hell they aren't from their faire site.

It is too bad they chose to have it in August. Won't that limit them on vendors and people to attend/work?

I can understand that you can't organize and plan and execute something like this in 5 months, but it would seem a better thing to plan for next year. Hopefully they'll have a decent turn out.
