I just got the soundtrack to Phantom of the Opera. Not much of a fan of opera myself but I love the gothic feel to this one. I'm hoping to get the dvd sometime soon. Most likely after Fling. I can't wait! Anyone else feel the same?

I currently own the DVD, which rocks, the original cast broadway recording and have seen the musical twice, Once in Norfolk Va, and once in Baltimore MD. This is my favorite musical in the world, I love it!!!! HIghly highly reccommend it. It is a beautiful tragic love story. :aok:

I am the original Phantom Phantic!!!!! I fell in love with him way back in 90. I have seen the musical...7 times. My allt time favorite is Colm Wilkinson. If you have the two set DVD and listen to ALW, he actually wrote the musical with him in mind, but Colm was commited to "Les Mis". I saw him four times in Toronto. If you want a great CD, order the "Original Canadian Cast Recording". He IS the Phantom. You will never want to listen to another Phantom. I saw Micheal Crawford in New York, and I loathe Micheal Crawdad and Sarah Bitchman. His voice is too sissified for me. The Phoenix, Chicago, and Detroit productions were ok. Toronto actually redesigned an entire theatre just for Phantom to run. The theatre was renovated to appear more like the Paris Opera House. I waited ever so patiently for the movie and I wasn't dissappointed.

I was apprehensive, but I saw the movie, and I really liked it. I do plan on getting the DVD. I remember wanting to se it so badly back in the day, but I was too strapped to check it out.
