Hi, all -

I first heard about the Wenches Guild whilst watching a special on cleavage recently...heh. :wink: I'm originally from Iowa, and my family attanded numerous renaissance faires, including the Minnesota State Fair, nearly every year, and the wenches were always my favorite part of it. :D Strong--seriously, STRONG--uninhibited women, doing whatever they darn well pleased. I loved it. Always kind of wondered what it would be like to do that--to be empowered and to have a chance to have fun and enjoy time with other women who live that same code.

So, here I am. I didn't find a chapter in IL, but I'm seeing "locals" around here. How do I get involved? I'm VERY green, very much at the beginning of things, but I'm continuing to read and learn more about the organization. I would like to jump in, so talk to me, ladies!

If you have not heard fro her already, KissMeKate is our local Guild Madame for Guild 34.5. You can check in with her on the local board forum with that number. Bristol would be your "home" faire, and it just opened yesterday, and the wenches are planning several activities this year.

I am fairly "green" as well - I have been a member of the guild for several years, but this is hte first year I have worked on getting more active. There are several others in the chapter in the same boat, so we can all learn "together"!

I am not yet guilded, but am very curious what kinds of stuffs be happening at Bristol! This looks like quite a cool place, with cool cool folks! Do the wenches perform at Bristol? Are there Wench Walks? Do tell, do tell!
