I'm more insulted that this bitch has abused her power countless times, has lied and deceived the public, used her children as political props, tossed salad speeches is all she can seem do well, quit her job as governor of her state causing problems in her wake... and now the bitch has the nerve to write her "memoirs"? Who the fuck does she think she is cos she sure ain't all that.

This woman is a fraud and I am really looking forward to the day when her entire world collapses in front of her vindictive little eyes.

Won't be buying it, won't be watching her hawking talk-show appearances, will hope that this too will pass w/o her attaining any other government jobs.

I guess I haven't heard of this. What's it called? I know it's Palin, but how is it an insult to Rogues?

This. (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/akmuckraker/the-real-story-of-the-rog_b_302369.html)
As one AK blogger has said, it's pretty much SP's "fuck you" to the people of Alaska.

What's the over/under on the number of provable lies that will be contained in the book's 400 pages?

I will direct my crazy aunt here. She's practically in love with Palin.

Sarah Palin makes me sick and I can't help but wonder why so many women think she's worth listening to...she's not. Sharon Osbourne said it best when she was on Ellen last year during the presidental elections.

"I am totally shocked and stunned. To me it reminds me of a hokey disney movie or a lifetime movie where somebody from nowhere ends up ruling the world, it's like you would make a silly movie out of it but you would never think that it could actually happen. All the greatest of respect to her, I don't know her, I've never met her, but COME ON...you cannot...it's like they were scouring america for a woman, a woman anywhere, JUST FIND A WOMAN that we can stand next to him so that it looks good.Just because she's a woman, they want the women to vote for her but women aren't that stupid. WOMEN ARE NOT STUPID! Because she's a soccer mum, because she's a good mum, you know what? There's a million of us and the million of us that there are in this country shouldn't be president and either should she."

See? That's just it. Why do people love this woman so much?
I just don't get it. :unamused:

Let's leave out her religion and her gender and what do you have, there?

What does she have to offer?

Nothing. She has nothing to offer any thinking person.

She offers Religion and Gender.

Frighteningly, that's more than enough for some people.

My SIL practically worships the ground Palin walks on. You can't critisize Palin at all in front of her or she goes nuts with "She's such a good Christian woman!" and "She's so wonderful, she's anti-abortion and is going to overturn Roe V. Wade and then we're going to have a big party at our house!" and "Our church supports her because we need a good Christian in the White House to keep marriage sacred and make sure gays never marry because that would ruin the sanctity of marriage." It's enough to make you gag. I don't think she's ever actually *listened* to Palin speak or knows a thing about her beyond that. And heaven help you if you try.

As for gender: My mother has always been one of these "I'm voting for the woman candidate because she's a woman." people. For everything from town council to president - if there's a woman's name on the ballot, she got Mom's vote. Didn't matter if she was qualified or not or what her platform was, she had a vagina and that was enough. (Though I give her credit: after the first time she heard Palin talk, she called me up and said "I am never going to vote on someone based solely on their gender again. That woman scares the hell out of me.")

That reminds me of Matt Damon's equally funny take on Palin: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6urw_PWHYk

"I need to know if she really thinks dinosaurs were here 4,000 years ago... I wanna know that, I really do, because she's going to have the nuclear codes." *rotfl*

Wanna know what's fucking frightening? This. (http://littlegreenfootballs.com/article/34788_Sarah_Palins_Book_Ghostwritten_by_Associate_ of_White_Supremacist_McCain?lackofsurprise) This speaks volumes... volumes, people. Last I heard, this blog site was more to the right. Not wacky right, but just on the "right".

Oh, that made me love Matt Damon not just as an actor, but as a person. But, yeah, my aunt is dead-set on the idea that Palin can do no wrong (because she's got a vagina and is a "strong Christian woman") and any reports of her less-than-stellar track record is just "evil liberal propaganda". She even sent me this "omg the liberals hate my beautiful goddess" article from Ann Coulter. It made me gag.

What bothers me is the fact that the mainstream media seems to be getting cozy with her and is starting to treat her like some maverick underdog who will win out the day. There should have been nothng more about her after the elction but now she is becoming the new media darling. We all know which media- the ones stupid people turn too when they can't decided to vote for. It will turn into Sarah vs Hillery for the next election at some point in the not so near future

Ask your aunt if it's appropriate for a "strong Christian woman" to bear false witness. :)
