So apparently Colbert spent a day working at a corn and vegetable farm in New York state as part of the United Farm Workers "Take Our Jobs" campaign, where they invite Americans to spend a day doing the jobs that the immigrants are supposedly "taking away" from Americans, ostensibly to see that why Americans have no interest in having those jobs.

Then, he got invited to testify before a Congressional sub-committee hearing on immigration reform.

Hilarity ensues.

I think my favorite line was "I trust that following my testimony both sides will work together on this issue in the best interest of the American people. As you always do." Ouch. :)

I was so proud when I heard him say, "Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers". Way to stick it to 'em!!

That part-- when he briefly broke character-- was just beautiful.
