The Epicenter was in Mineral Va and out 30 minutes from my house. Not to cool. I was out washing my car and watching the rocks in the driveway shaking around and my house shaking. My mom was asleep but she came outside when she felt her bed move.

Pretty wicked here in MD. The whole house was shaking. Scared the heck out of my dog. Lots of business and schools are closing early and the trains have been stopped in case of aftershocks.

My first thought was "Oh crap, the washer is unbalanced again". Then I realized it was shaking the whole house.
Two boys were with me and the dog, one was in the park, one was at football practice. I sent a text to the two absent ones. The football guy felt it, the park guy didn't.

I was outside doing yardwork and didn't notice anything...But, my father came out shook up and stared at me and asked if the world moved. Later on he explained that we got hit too.

Nothing moving here on the MidCoast. You East Coast Gals have all the fun.

It was a little scary. I work in the US State Department here in DC and of course "WE'RE UNDER ATTACK OH GOD" came to mind before I realized it was coming from the ground.

I was at work, felt nothing. My boss was home, felt nothing. Her son was 2 small towns away, called her about it ( he felt it). When she got to work she asked me about the ' Earthquake', I replied " you mean the one in Colorado, no the one here, what one here? So, obviously I felt nothing. Would have attributed it to my inate klutzyness anyway........... ==j==
